With 9/11 approaching, i thought it would be appropriate to take a look back at some of the original threads posted on that day.

It kind of gives me the chills to read these. Also feel free to share your story about that day.

I know that i will never forget where i was that day. Although i did not lose anyone close to me, there were some close calls that i will talk about later.

i rember when it happened, i was in Drug Ed in the 10th grade. guy came in and said someone ramed a plane into the WTC. i thought he was joking and ran down to the library. they had CNN going. Then as i watched, another plane flew in.

yeah, i was at the bus stop when i was told.

i'm getting sick of the damn media coverage that never ends, and stupid songs, and sunshine patriots that come out and yell and cheer. it's sickening.

sickening.

Wow that is kinda weird reading those threads. I remember I was in an assembly Freshman year of HS when it happened.

how very sad...

I will never forget where I was and what I was doing that day, and I doubt anyone else will.

God bless their souls.

History class in high school.... I know the details of the classroom as if it happened yesterday. Absolutely mind-blowing...

Thats one day I'll always remember, I can still recall how angry and helpless I felt that day. I'm still angry.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I had been up all night playing Max Payne, when my mom called me from work and told me about it. Reading that just brought it all back :/ Why do people feel the need to kill each other over stupid crap? 🙁

It's one of things where if you're old enough, you'll never forget where you were, and what you were doing when this terrible tragedy happened. It's like going back in time reading those threads.

never make the mistake of thinking religon is stupid crap. it's the most powerful tool of control over people. for good or bad, it is more powerful than other people, governments, and sometimes, even nature.

I'll never forget that day. That was the day the voice of a good friend was silenced forever. I was in Psychology when it happened, turned on the TV a saw the second plane hit.

Yea I was walking down the halls of my highschool when I saw it on a TV in one of the offices. At first I didn't think much of it... you know, planes crash all the time. But later on when I really sat down and watched the news reports, read the newspapers and really got a glimpse of the chaos and tragedy which occured in NY, DC and Pennsylvania...it really hit home.

I don't think I can bear talking about that day anymore. After two years it still hasn't sunk in that that actually happened.

Fvck you Bin Laden you ugly pussy piece of sh!t.

I remember waking up, late for my Intro to American Government class, and thinking "damnit!" For some reason I decided to turn on the tv, and it was on TNT. All I saw was a skyscraper on fire, so I thought that it was a movie or something, even if it was 930ish in the morning. I kept flipping and every channel showed the same thing. I fired up my computer, went to CNN and the website wouldn't load. I finally went to fark and hardocp, and they said a plane hit the world trade center. After that I was just kind of numb the rest of the day and started watching cartoon network pretty much all the time.

WOW...very moving🙁

"Remember those 8,000 children who were evacuated from schools in the shadows of the 5 buildings of the World Trade Center that came down. Remember too that some of those children went home to be comforted by parents to learn that one or both of them had perished in that attack. There are over 10,000 children in NYC and another 125 in the Pentagon and hijacked flights that lost one or both parents."

I was living in Boston at the time. I went to Ground Zero about 5 weeks after 9/11. Very moving and amazing scene...

I go to NYU and I saw the lights tonight (they were up until 12) with my own eyes. I live 1/2 hour from here but still, being this close makes it so much harder.
RIP.
