Pretty wild watching silver go up, I regret not buying more! I do have a bit over 100oz though. Maybe this will eventually be what pays off my debt. Right now it's enough to pay off the mortgage if I wanted to, but I'm going to wait longer before I sell.

This is based on my purchase history:

Yeah I don't know what to do with my physical gold.

When my parent's passing became inevitable they gifted all of their precious metals to me and my siblings. My share is currently in a safety deposit box.

But I'm worried. I think criminal gangs are going to start targeting safety deposit boxes more and more looking for precious metals. But I don't want to bring it home.

I often leave for days at a time . If someone has run of my house for that amount of time there's simply no safe place to store it.

You may have trouble selling it locally. Small shop don't want to get caught with inventory when the bubble pops.

Once I'm ready to sell I'll look around to see who's buying, I think TD Bank also buys precious metals. Pawn shop might be hit and miss, they may not want to have that inventory on hand because of theft risk. I would imagine this very moment would also be iffy, but if it stays high for a long time then they may feel it's less risky to buy at spot.

My tax return for 2025 has ten separate forms. Five of them have one number on them. "Enter number here and on line x of 1040." Still better than 2023 when I had to complete schedule D to show a 19¢ loss.

You still holding MU? Current market cap is 450 billion. I don't see much stopping it from reaching 600 B on just momentum. Shorts say it's overvalued but they are being ignored.

Yup. I'm like scrooge McDuck on that stock.

Taking a bath in a bathtub full of money. Kind of have to pinch myself at times.

Sorry - don't mean to gloat. It's just pretty unbelievable sometimes.

Corning got a boost today with Meta giving them $6 billion for their optical fibers for data centers. Takes less energy than CAT cables.

We have a history with GLW Corning. I had relatives working at German company Seimans in the 1990s when Corning acquired the fiber optic unit in 1999 for a measly 1.5B. Seimans had operations in DFW.

Being a German company they offered one relative early retirement with a LIFETIME of HSA payments of a grand...for each spouse!

My brother has also owned the stock on and off throughout the years finally selling it last year to buy Nvidia.

The chart is really telling. Current market cap is $95b

Wait are DCs also the reason why insulation is so freaking expensive right now? Never considered the massive amount of fibre they would also need. I feel we need a thread for everything AI DCs are killing. Kind of like how Millennials at one point where killing everything. 😛

I think Cramer is calling the top for silver and gold, saying we are at overbought levels not seen in decades. To hear his analysis you can listen to "Mad Money with Jim Cramer" on Alexa for todays date. Sometimes there is a one day delay.

What he said was interesting but he said if he is wrong silver could continue to rally to $135 per ounce. 😱

Another probability is that $100 silver and $5,000 gold may be the "new normal" and we may bounce around these from now on.

I did something I haven't done in quite a while: buy a company expecting a rise after earrings.

I chose Lam (LRCX) and so far so good.

MU up again after hours. Just unstoppable. I truly believe the market now sees MU as irreplaceable.
