I cant think of anything less interesting than a super car, each to his own :).

I think Micron is on borrowed time. llm's are incremental at this point which means that once the surge is delt with its gonna level off

I so wish I had bought more in 2022. Started to buy around then and it was at like 30ish if I recall.

Still though, I have like 10k worth at the current price, pretty crazy. I can see myself eventually be able to actually buy a big ticket item with it like a tractor or an EV at some point.

So I am trying to offload some silver I bought at $15/oz, Not many bites, I even offer free shipping. I heard coin shops aren't buying at these prices.
Interesting and frankly shocking. 😲

This had me concerned as well...

Barrick mining is at that 40% mark for me right now, itching, on one hand it's a solid company with glorious potential, on the other hand someone might cancel deglobalization tomorrow, with a stroke of a pen, and it's all back to sucking Chinese rare earths. But, I think I am long Barrick and RKLB. RKLB has that Falcon-9 potential coming up next year, might take off for real.

I primarily sell to local dealers. If they refuse to buy silver at all time highs, probably no sense in buying 20 ounces right now.

Order canceled 😞

I think lot of people might be waiting out to see if price of silver is just a bubble and it might go back down. I know personally I don't want to buy more at this price, going to wait it out and see what happens. I do regret not buying more when it was in the 30's though... But that would have required buying on credit so not ideal.

I actually have not invested any money in the past year or so, really trying to focus on paying off debt. I have about a year left on the mortgage then that same money I will put towards credit line. Had lot of major expenses in the past few years so I'm up to like 40k on the credit line now. My goal this year is to really fast track paying that, and maybe even try to find a secondary source of income. A new year usually means lot of bills go up too which doesn't help so need to start thinking about that.

I honestly thought that you were stoned for buy sliver, even at bullion prices. Sure gold has had many "dead zones" where it just won't move an ass whisker for years on end. But silver has been pretty much dead money for as long as I can remember.

The only reason I have a pretty decent horde is the fact that gold was just way, way too pricey and I do luvs some of the subscriptions I have from the US mint.

That oddly worked to my benefit. I think it's over now but they had a program to run parallel with the state quarters. For each one, they made a 5 ounce replica. That's a pretty meaningful slab of siliver. I don't have the whole set but I think I have . . . well over 30, pushing 40.

I've had Barrick since March or so. Don't really know much about gold mining but they seemed to be the top dog. Meh. Definitely no complaints.

I read somewhere that someone actually gave Micron a $500 price target . I that happens I might be the guy at the Lambo dealership.

I've always dreamed of owning a supercar, at least for a short period of time. The biggest problem seems to be is that those cars have a pretty low clearance. Hit a pothole - $50,000 repair.

That scares me. But - nice option to have.
Memory makers eyeing 20% increases in RAM pricing next year..

Why do you think it would be a bore?

You could show it off, take your friends on rides, pull up at restaurants and get looks. Seems fun to me.

I'm not talking about buying new (I think you have to get on a list for that). My vision is buying something used for around $100,000, keeping it for a year or two, and then selling it for that same amount.

Cause I like incognito. Again, each to his own :). If that is your shit, that is your shit, good for you living it out. For me? I'd rather have it all and no-one know about it.

Yes my friend, we are the few, the proud, the illuminati ;)

I really dislike attention of any kind. I'd much rather drive around in my 2008 Civic Si that looks like it has the vehicular version leprosy. Some of the '08 Hondas used an inferior paint that sort of rotted away after a few year.

One of the benefits of being an only child is that you are and have always been the center of attention. That's how you learn that attention is more of a curse than a blessing.

Yeh, I get the incognito thing.

I never tell anyone my net worth. Supercar would give it away I guess.
I mean your car can be super and under cover at the same time ... Take a mid sized all wheel drive top of its class and max out the engine, you will have a monster on your hands.

DJI drones are now banned for "security reasons" (such bull ship). This may cause another round of rapid price hikes, hoarding and gouging. I do not own any drones but always wanted one.

This is really just another protectionist move to benefit billionaires or wannabe billionaires.

The ban has been met with uproar from large swaths of the nearly half a million certified American commercial drone pilots. DJI accounts for around 70% to 90% of commercial, local-government and hobbyist drones in the U.S.

Many pilots are hoarding DJI drones and parts
, sending last-ditch letters to their congressional representatives and the White House, and forecasting the demise of their livelihoods that rely on China-made drones for which they say there is no Western replacement.

“I am American-made through and through. I drive a Chevy pickup truck,” said Eric Ebert, a Dyer, Ind.-based owner of the construction-site monitoring firm Falcon Unmanned Systems. “But American drones can’t compete.”

Drone pilots have gone on buying sprees for aircraft, batteries and spare parts to try to extend the life of their fleets. Ebert has a team of seven drone pilots who monitor the construction of solar and wind-turbine installations across thousands of acres. His company stocked up on three dozen drones and related equipment “knowing what 2026 looks like for us.”

Buying DJI products has been more challenging in the past several months as U.S. Customs and Border Protection has held up DJI shipments at ports due to concerns about the company using forced labor in its manufacturing. DJI denies the allegation.

Greg Reverdiau, co-founder of the Pilot Institute in Prescott, Ariz., recently collected survey responses from 8,000 drone pilots about the DJI ban. Among the findings: About 43% of pilots said a ban would have an “extremely negative” or “potentially business-ending impact” on their companies, and around 85% said they could stay in business for only two years or less.

“People are not buying the [DJI] drone because it’s a Chinese drone, they are buying the drone because it is available, it’s highly affordable and it’s capable,” Reverdiau said.
