I have a short watch list of mostly meme stocks that I like to watch. It was solid red, deeply red, all day long today. Many hit a new multi-year low: things like AMC and DJT. Others were close to a multi-year low: like GME. Or even BBBY or Doge are on their way to one.

As far as I know, I don't own any. But my mutual funds might have some of these in them.

wow, DJT sucks so hard I can feel the breeze.

Poor AMC. I still like cinemas/theaters, but of course, I never go. I used to run a MeetUp movie group, years ago - it at least guaranteed that I would help support my local theaters. And it was sort of fun, when at least one other person showed up 🙁 [sniffle]. I'm not sure how I managed to do that though - I now have the attention span of a fruit fly with ADHD.

Early to mid July 2025, DJT bought $2 billion worth of Bitcoin. That may very well have been the cause of Bitcoin's giant price increase on July 11. But, now Bitcoin has lost about 15% of its value. Meaning DJT has lost roughly $300 million. All for a company with less than $1 million in revenue per quarter. His timing could not possibly been much worse on an investment of over half the company's total assets:

It may end up being one of the biggest cases of FOMO yet.

The AI trade is overheated for now IMO and this video makes the strongest case

The high growth phase was when you only needed millions and billions. Now you need a trillion so you can lose up to 50 billion a year ...with no path to profitability yet?

..and taxpayers have to guarantee your loans because "China"?

This first 25 seconds of this interview sent chills down my spine..

Not only is there circular deal making.. it might just be trying to fake it till you make it as a too big to fail company and then get bailed out.

At least that was the impression I got.

That was a very good video and listening to Sam and Satya try to confront some of the growing concerns regarding:

* Profitability vs revenue growth

* Supply problems (more demand than supply especially in reliable power sources)
(which is also skyrocketing consumer electric bills! and Trump just blames Biden while other lawmakers blame too much data center building without power being available yet)

* The eventual glut when supply and demand meet and burst and collapse in prices at some point (tech bust cycle)

I cant say I fully understand the circular deals but many companies cannot afford Nvidia chips or Microsoft cloud at certain scales so they offer equity in payment. It makes sense to me and I guess we will see when it all blows up or if this is the future of deal making.

As far as "too big to fail" I hope that does not happen.

Can we all just stfu already?

As much as I'd love to.. if we stfu.. we make people forget a tariff is actually a TAX!

That means a business wall street or not has to pay an additional tax which it didn't before.. and that gets passed down to consumers..

which gets passed down to less spending at you know walmart/ costco/ mcdonalds/ ebay/ amazon/ starbucks, etc and that affects stock market which affects this thread!

TDS (Truth Denial Syndrome) is dangerous and should not be allowed to run freely.

People should learn the obviousness of the truth:

a tariff is actually a TAX!

Yes. So. Stonks what?

BTW @FelixDeCat apparently in TX.. AI is being used in house deed fraud and keeps getting harder to fight..

According to the report her grandmother deeded the property to her in 2008 and her interest in the property was stolen in 2023 when someone filed a bogus Warranty Deed showing she sold the property for $730,970. You don't need AI to commit this fraud but I guess it is being misused to make it easier. This has been going on for at least 20 years or more. As far as I know, this is a nationwide problem.

What gets me is that we do not prosecute this as grand theft with an minimum sentence of 20 years in jail and full restitution to victims. I remember a story about a guy who was stealing homes for nearly a decade from old or dead people and another who had the balls to steal a church! Rarely do these bastards get prosecuted for the nightmares they cause because of some stupid loopholes.

Edit: New laws that went into effect in September 2025 in Texas finally make it a crime to commit Deed Fraud. The report says Texas will now have the strongest law in the nation to help prevent this theft:

I saw that on the news last week, that kind of fraud had been going on for a while. That's one reason i checked Williamson CAD monthly on my houses. Also the wife saw some kind of commercial that said they could lock down your house deed to prevent this kind of fraud.. she couldn't recall the name of the company though but I am sure it wasn't LifeLock.

I did not know this happened until today.

Why were executives of Open AI, Palintir and Meta sworn in as members of the military in 2025? Why do they need to be Lt. Colonels in the Army Reserve? Who are they ultimately loyal to? The company or the nation?

And yet we constantly criticize countries like China for their biggest companies having direct ties to the People's Liberation Army....and here we are doing the same thing.

Source? I smell fake. Look at the fucking background.

I got it from this video, which lays out the recent history of the "AI Boom", where it is now, and where it could be headed ...dismissing the talk of a bubble:

I watch tons of Youtube videos. The only way to absorb lots of information is to watch them at 1.50X or more speed while multitasking. As I follow along and hear something interesting, I rewind and slow to normal. Some things are so complex to absorb I have to play at slower than normal like .75 (usually discussions of quantum mechanics and theories).

One of the neatest things I saw not too long ago was in regard to the idea of "quantum time" where an action in the "future" can actually change an action in the "past". Some theories are hard to grasp or even believe. 😉

Interesting market this morning.

I look like an idiot for buying RKLB even at a 35% discount from ATH's.

Maybe I shoulda waited for 45%??

But some other stocks that I was watching are going up LOL.

Interesting market this morning.
Looks like the mid-size companies are struggling today. That continues the trend of mid-size companies underperforming the market since about August 2025. Most other sectors are just wandering aimlessly today.

Crypto and meme stocks are also losing today but not as bad as they did last week.
