I don't understand taking him out though. Might as well leave him in, keep losing and shoot for the best QB in the next draft. Kyle Allen might be just enough to keep you out of a top pick.
Well the coaches know more than I do about it so I'll roll with their decision.

To me though Haskins doesn't pass the eye test and he is not improving at all and making the same mistakes over and over. Which is understandable since he played like 10 games in college and a handful in the NFL.

CBSSPORTS just posted an article about Haskins benching and their stats on Allen show that he actually might be worse than Haskins.

Kyle Allen's rankings:
Passer Rating: 32nd
Interceptions: Tied for 1st
Third Down Conversions: 29th
20-plus yard passes: 28th
Points Score Over Final 8 games: 29th

So maybe they actually are still tanking.

I mean that is kind of a BS set of stats. That is from last year where the league and teams were completely different.

You can't say he's 32nd when he hasn't played this year. Haskins was ranked dead last this year and has played 4 games.

Either way I think they just think Allen can do more than Haskins. And with Allen's play last year, that kind of shows you exactly what they think of Haskins at this point.

Never forget there is a reason that he was a backup to start the year. Not saying they should not replace Haskins based on his play, but to expect much change from the guy who could not win the job is an episode of frustration waiting to happen.

Well that is the only stats we have on him, and he was in a pretty good offense as we can see with Teddy this year.

Haskins experiment is over here in Washington.

<--- avatar fitting as usual.

I'm a panthers fan, Kyle Allen won some games for us in his first starts, then faded quickly and was replaced last couple of games. The guy is a turnover machine, and not just INT's. Fumbled in the pocket numerous times.

The elephant in the room is Alex Smith, I bet he'll be playing soon if they stay in contention in the weak NFCE. It does make me cringe a little that he's choosing to do it though, after that injury and its aftermath.

To be fair, the "reason" was probably Dan Snyder.

I mean Haskins isn't even activated. He's 3rd stringer now. So they think Alex Smith is more ready than he is. That says a lot as well.

Agreed, Snyder has a proven history of ineptitude. Alex Smith, whoa, he was hiding on the bench. I would have more faith in him than Allen. Hastings being emergency QB, is just a reaction, probably by Snyder. He is young, but I always worry about these guy’s ego, as it is not like years ago when athletes were not so coddled. That division is horrible. You have two of the worst owners. At least when Jones mettle’s, he wins a couple of games a year but never reaches what the potential or talent the team has ever. If not for Johnson, who knows if that team would have underperformed.

Jones hiring one incompetent coach to replace another is pretty hilarious. He stuck with Garrett despite his ineptitude and then replaced him with a guy who had been riding Aaron Rodgers coattails for a decade.

The NFCE is the Cowboys for the taking. They have scored so many points and are 1-3, and could VERY easily be 0-4 if it weren't for the most inept onside kick in NFL history. Their defense has been suspect though. But they are leaps and bounds above the other 3 teams in the division this year, which isn't saying much.

Good matchup tonight. TBay -3 favorite. I swear, CHI oughta just play Trubisky for a few possessions, then bring in Foles. Guy just plays better off the bench.

are the Jags normally that bad? they made the Lions look good
They've had one win and a few close one's, if the Lion's didn't win today then MP would have been canned. He signed
Flowers, (from NE) for a big $$ contract, ditto Jamie Collins, and Harmon too, with that kind of $$ spent that D should be a lot better, still a long way to go and GB looks like shit today in Tampa

Holy crap the giants won. Didn't see the game as I was out and about in Manhattan bike riding. Quick look at the stats shows it wasn't a great game for the giants offense, besides some nice yards on the ground for Danny boy.

I'll have to see the highlights to see how blue pulled out off. But I'll take it.

Sadly all today says to me is the "Football-team" from Washington is even more pathetic than we are ... and that's saying something.

IMO worst 5 teams in NFL in descending order: (3,4,5 debatable in terms of order)

(1) J-E-T-S

*(and it's not close ... this team just sucks from top to bottom)

(2) Football Team

(3) Giants

(4) Bungles

(5) Jaguars

Tough to pin today's victory on Covid in any way .... wow what a game!

Texans/Watson just can't seem to win the big ones.

No, but they dud have more rest than most. I did not expect them to respond late like they did given the short rest. Sets up a major game next week when they play Pittsburgh, as both teams are 5-0.

yea, both teams are playing well and finding ways to win, the rookie WR Pitt has, (can't recall his name right now) is outstanding.

Claypoole. 11th WR taken in the draft. He is only slightly smaller than Megatron and a couple hundredth of second slower in the 40. I was amazed on how close they were when lined up together. They have a way of drafting WR that most teams don’t.

Henry continues to show he is a force. He had 212 rushing with Tannehill who threw for 346 and 4TDs. A formidable combination.

This game is set up to be a dandy. Let’s just hope it lives up to its potential.

Fins won 2 in a row, even better standing than the Pats. Wooohoooo. 8-8 or better is possible. <crossing fingers>

Man, was my BiL right about tonight.

I talked to him a few days ago and he said this game is a sure thing. The type of sure thing that comes along every 5 years. These are the bets he told me to make:

Heavy bets on Cards -5, Cards -10, Cards -15, Cards -20
Medium bets up to Cards -25,-30
Light bets as far as Cards -40 if your feeling lucky.

I've never done sports betting so of course I didn't do anything. I'm curious how much he won.
