Guess I should have moved everything into bonds yesterday after all

This drop wasn't too hard to predict (the exact day was unknown, but the fact that it was likely to happen in March was not surprising). The double bottoms happen all the time:
so time to buy since we know the support point?

I'm still hesitant. Too much like a falling knife. The S&P support last month was in the 2500's. There is no reason that it will necessarily go that low again, but it could just as easily go lower.

I never try to time the exact bottoms. I don't mind missing it by a percent here or there. Instead, I want to see if it stabilizes a bit before I buy. It was nice to get rid of the fraidy cats and bottom feeders. That makes the next bounce a more solid support.

Historically, volume spikes on the first bottom (happened early Feb 2018) which makes the first bottom sharp. Then historically the second bottom tends to be much more gradual. If this happens again, we'll have lots of time to decide if the second bottom has been reached. But history is never a perfect predictor.

I'l just give my free, worthless advice again:

I really believe MU is going to be fine long. Could it drop to 55, even threaten 50 short? Yes. If you can time those dips good for you (seriously). But it very well might not.

I've been watching stocks for a long time and I don't think the analysts that have it approaching 100 are crazy at all.

Just do the research, keep your finger on the trigger if it makes you feel comfortable, and wait it out.

$50B is a drop in the bucket in the over all trade picture with communist China.

This too shall pass.......?

I'll hit MU if it goes back down to 54.50 today. Was gonna do Tencent but it opened 3% higher than close.

I would stay out of MU. They had very disappointing earnings and the fact they posted such numbers indicates they are starting to face increasing capacity from their competitors which is driving down prices.

I see MU trading down to 45 before next earnings (which will also be disappointing)

Big time profit taking going on with MU right now.

A lot of the shares being sold now probably sub $50 cost basis, even sub $45.

MU beats and plummets. Just what the hell were people expecting?

They posted 30 cent beats over the last two quarters and they had a 50% run up in SP into earnings. What were you expecting? Do you think stocks only go up?

MU was a good buy at $30 if you are trying to catch the bus now you're too late for anything except puts.

I'll take your word on that.

I'm considering doubling down on ATVI since they haven't been down at this level in a while or maybe keep eyeing NVDA for a good jump in point.

How about a $500 Amazon gift card, loser pm's the winner the redemption number?

I would rather not turn this forum into a casino. A gentlemen's bet will have to suffice. You win bragging rights, while I am publicly embarrassed by being wrong.

Ok. I don't think a single friendly wager is turning anything into a casino but that's fine.

We'll see who's right.

If I was bearish enough on MU to actually bet money on them I would've bought puts. It's very hard to justify shorting a stock with a <10 P/E ratio (and I feel it is unwise).
