Official 2018 NFL pre-season thread

Saw him on a game show last night. Still looks in great shape. I think the main problem with football players as they get older is that your body cant take and recover from the hits as well.
 
Excited to see how Shaquem Griffin will do in preseason for the Hawks. He's already picked Wilson in practice, apparently.

Broncos 1st team looks like (poop emoji).

Broncos 2nd team QB looks like (poop emoji). I thought the Broncos should have cut him last pre-season and kept Sloter.

Broncos 3rd team looks excellent. The crowd was chanting Chad Kelley's name! He might be better than Sloter. I'm pretty sure he's better than Lynch.

Hard to like the Broncos this year. They sent away CJ Anderson for nothing other than being a solid RB and one-year wonder Case Keenum is an upgrade over Siemian and Lynch but that's an easy bar to jump over. AFCW is very competitive and I could literally imagine any order of standings for all 4 teams come year end from playing in the Super Bowl to picking in the top 3 of next years' draft. Aside from the probable 1/2 split with the Cardinals and the early meeting with the Jets it's hard to see any game on their schedule as a gimme.

It's pretty amusing to watch people get worked up over preseason and making predictions on records after a game 4 where it's the guards vs. the prisoners. You would think that year after year people would learn, but nope.
 
08 Lions and last years browns were 4-0 in preseason and 0-16 during the season..thta said, the Lions defense was horrible and the offence out of sync
 
The preseason really is meaningless. Part of those games are about trying new things out that your offense/defense would not normally try during the regular season. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Not to mention that the entire lineup of starters don't take a ton of snaps together. Like you said, preseason is for trying out new things and new people.

It's obvious you have not watched anything other than this last drive where the Eagles were on defense. This game could very easily be 14-0 and should be 6-0. The Eagles haven't done shit. The offense was booed off the field their last drive.
