Surprised that nobody has started one yet 🙂

I can't believe Lester's pickoff move situation. I never realized exactly what was up, but I foresee this as a problem in the NL.

Also, its hilarious to see Wrigley with so many empty seats only down three on a home opener. I could have predicted that though.

Gonna have to sneak out of work to watch the White Sox game tomorrow, I bought this year's MLB.tv subscription.

Padres fans are having a nice Easter Sunday with the addition of Kimbrel and dumping Maybin and Quentin. Of course, it required taking on Melvin Upton's horrible contract, losing a quality prospect, and other prospects.

Padres still may end up tanking this year, but at least it's going to be an interesting year. I'll take that over the stable 76-77 wins over the last three years.

Phillies are so awful, it beggars belief. They are fielding an historically bad team. They could lose 120 games, especially after Cole Hamels gets traded. Thanks Obama! :colbert:

Haha its going to be a race between them and Atlanta to see who can be the worst.

If Buchholz stays at the front of the rotation for the Red Sox I'm going to have an aneurysm. At least our offense will be swinging for the fences. :hmm:

Yea, last night highlighted very clearly that my Cubs purchased very expensive damaged goods. It was ridiculous how much the Cardinals were leading off the bases and running on Lester. This will only get worse as the year goes on. It wasn't even just pickoff moves, a line drive hit back to him with a runner on second advancing, Lester had him absolutely dead out at third base but instead choose to walk the ball over to 1st. Little stuff like that is going to be amplified if he does not make it a priority to work on throwing to bases.

And then there's the bathroom situation at Wrigley! It's something crazy like just two open working bathrooms for the stadium. News reports say last night got rather messy down in the bowels of the stadium 😛 (that's why there were so many empty seats, the lines were like minimum half-hour wait)

Bill Madden has the mets finishing 1st in the NL east. So that's a thing.

Unfortunately despite all the injuries I think the Nat's are still the class of the division this year and Florida looks tough.

Having said that I'm cautiously optimistic about the Met's for the first time in a LONG time!

Lets go Mets !!!!!!

I have Marlins as my surprise Wild Card team before the season proves me wrong. Really excited for this season, a lot of interesting teams. My Mariners might be good this year! WHAT?!

My son is a Cardinals fan.
I'm a Brewers fan.
We love... LOVE baseball.

The only thing we both can agree on, and wish for, is the Cubs to suck (as always).

Cole Hamels, the sole premier player on baseball's worst team, the Phillies, gives up four home runs en route to his opening day loss.

Meanwhile newly ex-Phillie Kyle F*cking Kendrick tosses seven shutout innings for Colorado in their home opener, and Jimmy Rollins puts the Dodgers over the top with a three run homer.

The baseball gods are angry, my friends. It's going to be a long, long year in Philadelphia. 🙁

Every year I hope Joe West and Angel Hernandez retire...and every year I'm disappointed. Are there two more worthless umpires in the game (or officials in any sport) than these two? Most people that suck at their jobs for 10+ years get fired. Not these two jackasses.

Cowboy Joe West has been a raging asshole most of his umpiring career. He really stands out in that regard.

Agreed. I'd say it's pretty bad when even a casual baseball fan like myself knows the name of two umpires. Those are the only two I know...because they are the only two that always need to make themselves the center of the game.
