Man, I don't know if I can keep Murray over Luck. Who knows what Murray is going to do with a new team. Luck was #2 overall last year in the nfl.com leagues. We are not a PPR league and TD passes are 5 points. And the Colts improved the guys around him. Hmmm

What do you guys think about my team? Not really feelin Romo, hopefully Bradford flourishes in Chip Kelly's system

I'm not usually a keeper league guy, but I was in one last year. I can keep three out of the following four...looking for opinions on who you'd keep (or omit):

Jordy Nelson
DeMarco Murray
Andrew Luck
Odell Beckham

Unlikely to keep, but on my final roster:
Martavis Bryant
Kelvin Benjamin
Mike Wallace

Well...that was made easier. Looks like Jordy Nelson tore his ACL. Two of my receivers from last year with torn ACL's this pre-season. Guess it's bad luck to be on my time. lol

Funny story: one of my friends is batting 1000 when it comes to at least one player he drafts being injured for the season. Within an hour of drafting Jordy Nelson, he does down. lol

When I was in a money league, we always drafted after the final preseason games for precisely that reason. It sucks when someone uses a 1st round pick on a guy that goes down in game #2 in preseason because you drafted way early. lol

I like how they downplay the injury in the article...because of Aaron Rodgers. But that is still a huge loss for them, if it is indeed a tear.

We generally draft later than this year, but two of the entrants were difficult as shit to get a time and we had to do it now. Thankfully, we got to see Jordy Nelson pay the price!

CJ Anderson will finish the year as a top three RB in a PPR and will have a chance for a top three finish for RB in standard.

I will not draft Jamaal Charles again as he fades in the fantasy playoffs due to getting rested.

I got CJ Anderson 12th overall. I certainly hope he does that good.

Had my first draft last night. I had 6th pick in a 14 team PPR league. No TE, but 2 FLEX spots that are (WR/RB/TE). How did i do? I figure ill just stream Def from waiver wire vs. their matchups. For some reason their was a Def run in middle rounds lol

QB – Phillip Rivers (5)
RB – Matt Forte (1)
RB – Justin Forsett (3)
WR – Odell Beckham Jr (2)
WR – Jordan Matthews (4)
FLEX – Allen Robinson (6)
FLEX – Ameer Abdullah (7)
D/ST – 49ers (12)
K – Justin Tucker (11)

BE – Tevin Coleman (8)
BE – Charles Johnson (9)
BE – Knile Davis (10)
BE – Brian Quick (13)
BE – Alex Smith (14)

good team.
Forsett is the only question mark in my opinion. He's only done it once, he's extremely small, and I just don't see him holding up for a full season. Which is fine since you have Ameer and Coleman. Also props for waiting on QB and getting Rivers, tahts good draft strategy.

I'm struggling to get into fantasy this year. Anyway, trying to figure out a strategy for my main league. 2QB league, 10 teams. I've got the 10th pick. No idea what I'll be doing

You did well, although I'm not high on Forte and the Bears O this year now that Trestman/Marshall are gone and Kevin White is already under the knife. He'll still do well but I think he's being overvalued in drafts, especially PPR.

Forsett is going to get even more passes with Trestman, and that's scary. It should preserve his health a little more than trying to bang a lot in Kubiak's zone blocking from last year. PPR leagues, I'm gunning for Forsett. The Ravens should still have a dominant line.

2QB leagues are a pain, although with 10 teams it should be ok. Is this PPR? Assuming 6pt TDs, you probably want to pick a QB first since they will be scarcer than a regular league. I'd follow the herd, if you pick a QB first and that sets off a chain reaction of half of the other people going QB, then you may have to go QB-RBorWR-QB. I would definitely get one in the first 2 picks though.

Someone proposed a QB Flex in my 14 man league, wtf? That got shot down quick.

Did an ESPN mock draft the other night, 12 team PPR, pick #4:
1** (4) Eddie Lacy RB
2** (21) Mark Ingram RB
3** (28) Jordan Matthews WR
4** (45) Greg Olsen TE
5** (52) Andre Johnson WR
6** (69) Travis Kelce TE
7** (76) Ameer Abdullah RB
8** (93) Brandon LaFell WR
9** (100) Steve Smith Sr. WR
10** (117) Reggie Bush RB
11** (124) Darren Sproles RB
12** (141) Philip Rivers QB
13** (148) Cameron Artis-Payne RB
14** (165) Khiry Robinson RB
15** (172) Patriots D/ST D/ST
16** (189) Brandon McManus K

Looking back, I may have drafted Olsen a little too early but maybe not. Before my next pick, Latavius Murray, Brees, and Brandon Marshall could have been had, I think getting Olsen there was a good value because I needed a TE and I am targeting Olsen this year. Since I figured Andre Johnson was still on the board further down, I prefer him over Marshall. Other notes: Instead of Kelce, I could have had Davante Adams which I should have done. I also shouldn't have drafted Steve Smith, he's really not ideal for PPR because of he's not a slot receiver nor red zone threat (small size) and old to boot. Brady/Woodhead/Wright/Funchess/Garcon would have been better picks there. Bush is a PPR sleeper because the 9ers will be bad, and playing from behind often and Bush should get passing work. Staying away from Mr. Hyde. Sproles, I had a brainfart, not even sure why I chose him - he's on my DND list. I would have picked a back with more upside like Hillman (now passed Montee Ball on depth chart) if it wasn't 2am in the morning. Going to do about 5 more of these until I get it right.

You're weak at WR for a PPR league, you probably need to be aggressive in trying to backfill that via the waiver wire and grab someone who emerges early. Grabbing both Olsen and Kelce that early is a bit of a luxury but might work out. Rivers in the 12th is a nice grab, the guy never gets hurt so you don't need to back him up for injury.

Wish i could have gotten Rivers in 12th round instead of 5th round. But already off the board by my 5th round pic in order were Manning, Rodgers, Wilson, Roethlisberger, Luck, Brees, Ryan, other Manning, Romo, and Brady lol buncha weird people in league apparently. And with 14 team league i was thinking i better pick up someone before im left with Alex Smith as my starter. I like Rivers though.

True, I wanted a top tier WR after Lacy but the best ones available were TY, Jeffery, Evans, Cooks. It's debatable that Ingram holds similar value, maybe I should have gone for Evans. TY is too boom/busty for my tastes, but may have been the better choice. Evans just tweaked a hammy on an average team, and it will probably take some time for he and Winston to gel. Jeffery still has a fucked up calf and not even sure when he'll practice again. Cooks, I think Ingram has more value. Ingram is probably the most reliable week in and week out if healthy, he was banged up in June but now ok.

Yeah, if QBs are going early and you have to have a certain one, then you have to suck it up and take them earlier. Bradford (or maybe Cutler) could be later underrated picks if you paired them with a stud receiver. For example, would you take K.Allen(4-5th round WR)+Bradford or Eli+Moncrief (12th round WR)? I think Allen/Bradford probably wins that matchup, just different strategies. Some like to go with a QB early because it's "money in the bank", but I'm always analyzing opportunity cost ceilings and floors in that round.

I will say it sucks when you are playing QB streamers because you didn't get a top 10 QB. Waiting too long for a QB is probably too risky. If I'm stuck with a shitty value pick in an earlier round, I'm going to immediately opt for QB instead. A lot has to do with ADP and what is "visible on the board", because most people don't have a list (physical or mental) sitting in front of them, they are analyzing the group of players they see coming up next on the ADP board. As a result, I would advise keeping a list of who you want so you get your players, even if it's a round or two early. Don't wing it!

So with 10 carries so far T-Rich is all the way up to 23 yards. Anyone brave enough to bet the over on whether his rush yards total exceeds his roster number (33) before he gets cut by the Raiders?

Are there any teams that will adopt stronger use of their TE this year? Catalysts could be a coaching change or an early round draft pick at TE.

#55 pick Maxx Williams is a TE that went to the Ravens. Sounds like he is a good blocking TE more than a receiver. 6'4" and 250 pounds.

I'm in a 16 man PPR league (0.75 ppr) so I need to find some late round picks that are gambles that could pay off.

It's going to be hard enough to get two good RBs. Then I need to snag a bunch of WRs. Once we get to the end of the draft though, there are going to be slim pickings. For my league, should I try to go with RB,RB,WR,WR in that order for the first 4 rounds? Then go after a QB in round 5? 6 will probably be a TE but I might leave off my TE position till later rounds and hope for a sleeper. Maybe opt for defense in round 6?

So, general plan:
1) RB
2) RB
3) WR
4) WR
5) QB
6) TE/???
7) ????
8) ???
9) ???
10) sleeper or someone moderately good as a second QB. Maybe a QB sleeper? Possibly go after a WR sleeper.
11) I want to go after sleepers beyond this round.

We have this as a roster
1 - QB
2 - WR
2 - RB
1 - TE
1 - TE/WR/RB flex
1 - K
1 - Def
