wait...few weeks ago (the non-controversial "controversial" ending of the GB Detroit game, where we got a Facemask against Detroit on Rodgers leading to the Hail Mary), and I said that it could have been "Roughing the Passer," Everyone told me that it can't be roughing the passer, because Rodgers still had the ball and was therefore still in play.

...well he just got "Roughing The passer" while being tackled, with the ball in hand...and no one on TV comments that this is some wrong call.

What gives? :hmm:

and holy shit GB. what happened? 😱
Once the QB leaves the pocket, he becomes a runner, no longer a passer, and roughing the Passer cannot be called.

Yes, confusing but it makes sense since the QB outside the pocket has the option of running instead of throwing, that changes the way a defender might try to tackle the QB.

where's Week 17 ?

Jets trying to give away a playoff spot.
They seriously need a new punter~ quigly sucks buffalo balls

Skins need to dial it back. Cowboys are trying to play for a slightly better draft pick, which only hurts the Skins and the division going forward.

Skins are much better off going into the playoffs at 8-8 after today and slightly improving their draft prospects as well.

This game is hilarious, though.

nah skins need to keep their momentum going into the playoffs. 9-7 vs 8-8 is a huge difference psyche wise. it will also give them a 5 game streak going into the playoffs. momentum in the nfl is HUGE and i think they should not just lay down. it will also make all the critics stfu about how crappy the division is with the team winning the division not having a winning record. and i think if the skins win today, even if they didn't win the division, statistics wise, they would be in wild card position, which means they would still be a top 6 team in the NFC

i'm not saying they should play starters all game at all though, they need to pull them at some point. but they definitely need to try and keep winning. this redskins team is truly a different team than the past with a different culture who is clearly progressing.

oh, cousins 3 TD's in the 1st quarter? rg3 who?

Yeah but Big Ben is the real MVP.

Ticker says that Chip is adamant about staying in the NFL. Here's hoping Cleveland or Tennessee or Jax or someone picks him up, and he wants to trade away some meaty draftpicks for RG3.

redskins player gets carted off today, cowboys fans give him a round of applause.

redskins player last week is injured in philly, he gets up, and philly fans boo.

Geez, the Pats offense has become so anemic they could only manage 3 points in the first half. I get establishing the run-game is important but Brady with only 4 pass attempts in the 1st half?. Last week vs the Jets they only manages 240 total yds on offense and were reduced to trying gadget-plays to try and move the chains. I'd love to be wrong but it's tough seeing them mounting a serious challenge defending their SB title from last year.

You have to be a special kind of asshole player to get boo'd in Dallas. I'm sure it's happened, no need for someone to find the exception and throw it in my face.

The only way the Skins' draft improves by losing today is if Houston also loses and Houston (or Indy) and Washington both get eliminated in the same round of the playoffs.
