you aren't telling me anything i don't know so not sure why you are rambling. not sure why you are going off about accepting who the better team was that day (at least not sure why you are telling me that) as i never made a claim either way. whoever wins is ALWAYS the better team that day, or else they wouldn't have lost.

i simply stated that had that pass been picked off as it should have been, then the broncos would have won the game. i didn't say they lost BECAUSE he blew the coverage.

he picks it off, the broncos kneel on it and win.

yeah, i know. I just don't why people want to discuss these moments as the crucial moment--it happened. nothing changes that. Many things beyond blown coverage could have still lead to the TD. good coverage, shitty tackling. run the proper route, trip on shitty turf.

All I know is that again and again I used to go over stuff like this only to realize that it is too confounding to make a point of it--because it happened and nothing changes that. The important thing is how they team responds. The game then starts after that play...then starts again after the next play, etc.

further...since the play did not lose them the game, I find it even less significant. :\ (would have won, yes--but it also didn't cost them the loss. huge difference between going from win to lose, and going from win to "alive" on a play)

Now that it is almost the weekend. I will reset my predicitions and start from scratch.

Patriots 45, Ravens 20
49ers 38, Falcons 30

NFC 55, AFC 38

49ers 28, Patriots 24

I have only called one wrong since the beginning of the playoffs.
The Broncos Ravens game.
Here's my picks for this weekend

49ers
vs Falcons
Ravens vs Patriots

What I want to happen:
Patriots 14 Ravens 24
49ers 3 Falcons 42

Falcons 31 Ravens 17

What I think will more likely happen:
Patriots 42 Ravens 21
Falcons 28 49ers 24

Patriots 35 Falcons 28

Hi!

I really want the Ravens to win on Sunday but I have this awful feeling it'll be yet another year of good but not quite good enough. Won't make an official prediction though since my track record is awful.

O boy, gettin into stalker territory there!

Feels like it's been forever since the last playoff game even though it's only been 4 days!

I still think they should have done a 3 way split for rookie of the year. You can't argue against any of the 3 QBs. If i really had to pick one I'd probably pick Andrew Luck just because of the Colts' amazing turnaround without their head coach.

Ray Lewis haters:
In last week’s game against the Broncos, Lewis graded out as the Ravens’ top run defender in 44 plays against the run. However, Lewis was the lowest-rated defender in 45 plays in pass coverage.

When Lewis was asked Wednesday about his play this postseason, he wasn’t interested in discussing his individual performance and instead pointed to the overall play of the defense.

Aren't the Pats thumping their chests about how great their ground game is this year? hmmm.

Additionally, ESPN finally giving B.More some respect:
“There always seems to be a team that gets hot late and makes an improbable championship run,” wrote ESPN.com’s Jamison Hensley. “The hot team this season is the one that emerged victorious after braving 4 hours, 11 minutes in minus-1 wind chill temperatures. It's a Ravens team that is headed to its third AFC Championship Game in five seasons but never before in such improbable fashion.”
