Holy crap... Topsyturvy week continues and it looks like I just knocked off the #1 team in my league thanks to a wonderfully lackluster performance by the bears defense.

i lost this week... i had gore in, they had davis in.

mike wallace fucked me. i also kinda fucked myself, though, by leaving drew brees in and sitting rg3.

Got a REALLY interesting offer in a keeper league. Got offered Doug Martin for Adrian Peterson. If I accept, I can keep Trent Richardson and Doug Martin for next season. Martin's obviously in the start of his career and looks to be a stud on a very good offense. Peterson, while still a beast, is a few years older and on an offense that doesn't seem nearly as hot. Thoughts? Yes, peterson is #1 with a very close Martin at #2. But i'm also thinking for the future...

stick with the sure thing. peterson all the way. he's a stud and the entire team is pretty much built around him. don't expect it to change.

doug martin may be good and all, but he's not as tried, tested, and true as peterson. i would, however, offer trent richardson for doug martin. browns don't exactly have a good track record of having a good offensive line and consistent running backs each season.

He's not dumb enough to accept that offer. Martin's been performing a lot better and has MUCH higher upside in an offense which is actually balanced. The only way he would possibly take the offer is if I gave him Richarson AND another stud. a) He's out of the running for the playoffs so he's just trading for keepers and b) He has Lesean McCoy so there's really no reason for him to give up martin for a #1RB and a #1 WR or any other combo.

Adrian Peterson does have worse matchups for the rest of the year as well. He's basically matchup-proof though.

Their playoff schedules (weeks 15 and 16) are Saints + Rams (Martin) and Rams + Texans (Peterson). Peterson also has the Bears twice.

In any given season, I'd take Peterson over Martin, but the argument can be made for that trade this year, especially in a keeper league.

Which of these WR should I start? I have 3 W/TE slots, its a ppr league

Julio Jones @ TB
Brandon Lloyd @ NYJ
Dez Bryant vs WAS
Lance Moore vs SF

I also have the 49ers D/ST but I am worried about starting them against the Saints. We have a short bench so I would need to drop Pierre Thomas for another D/ST since I don't want to drop SF. Suggestions?

Jones, Dez & Moore

Hows your RB depth? If you're ok then go ahead and drop him.

Not great but we have a short bench (4 spots) and I want to hold on to Greg Jennings and MJD for the playoffs.

Adrian Peterson, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Maurice Jones Drew, Pierre Thomas

I can pick up some scrub off the WW that has similar production to what Pierre Thomas has had all season.

You start 1 or 2 RBs? I think you are in good shape this week with AP and the law firm. Drop Thomas and grab the D. MJD should be back the following week.

2 running backs. The scoring is really goofy in the league (30 received yards per point, 15 rushing yards per point) so it makes a D/ST even more valuable. I have been doing very well with my D/ST matchups the past 4 weeks.

Alright... another question for you all:

Brees vs. SF (proj: 18.3)
Dalton vs. OAK (proj: 21.5)

Too cute of a matchup, you have to go Brees. They're at home too, dome field advantage.

Careful with Julio, he reaggrivated that ankle against ARI and is expected to miss practice all week; IF he starts it will be limited snaps... again. He had 3 catches for 33 yards this past week. I have him, and he's on my bench right now.

I would have a tough time sitting Brees, regardless of match up. If it was my team, I'd be playing Brees.

What's that fantasy football rule #1?

You don't bench studs. Of course hindsight would tell a different story, in hindsight I should have started Flacco over Matt Ryan (gave me -3). Flukes happen.

I've learned that as well. Start them no matter what, even on tough matchups. But determining who is a stud is a problem aside from the normal guys. Eli is suppose to be a stud but is a bum. Flacco is on the same boat as Eli.
