Yeah, he cheated on the draft. No way if people were on autodraft that he would end up with those players. I do not know the controls for the commish on ESPN league's, but it appears he had the ability to control the whole draft. I am shocked any of you stayed. I hope you informed him that next year the rest of you are starting a league and he is not invited.
Edit: He has 5-7 first round players on his team. Yahoo lets you look at draft results, I would be surprised if ESPN does not have the same thing.
Haha, I'm in a league where the commish RADICALLY changed the scoring settings after the first week (and also added two extra bench slots). Normally that would be totally unacceptable, but in this case it doesn't really bother me because it's just some random custom league that I joined for fun.
Want to know how crazy the scoring is? Okay, so you get points for return yards in addition to rushing and receiving yards. But instead of the typical 1 point per 25 return yards, you get 1 point per 10 return yards! That means a typical 25-yard kick return gets you 2.5 points.
And the D/ST scoring ALSO includes return yards with the same crazy scoring! Yes, this has made the Browns the highest scoring D/ST in the league, and the third highest scoring player overall (behind only RG3 and Aaron Rodgers). The Titans D/ST is the 7th best D/ST available because of tons of return yards (because they give up tons of points and thus receive a lot of kickoffs).
This has caused me to do a lot of week-to-week research on touchback percentage. I don't want to play a kick returner against the Vikings, Ravens, or Broncos (at home) because they kick lots of touchbacks.
The league has IDPs that also get points for return yards, including fumble and INT return yards. And they get 1 point per 2 sack yards.
It's actually hilarious and fun, and I find myself researching all sorts of unconventional stuff. I think next year I want to run my own league but try to make it a little more fair and less ridiculous.
