I have Ryan Fitzpatrick on my bench. I want to use him as trade bait. My starting lineup is pretty strong - McCoy, Gore, VJax, Julio Jones, Torrey Smith with Battle and Tate as my main flex/backups.

Do you guys think a trade for Brian Hartline or Danny Amendola is reasonable? Those are the only guys on the teams that need a QB upgrade I could see prying away from them.

I don't think Fitz is good enough to get one of those guys. What QBs are on waivers? Dalton, Ponder, Flacco, Cutler?

Eli.

None of those are available. Kolb and Cassel are best pickups. The people I'm trading to have Vick/Smith and Rivers/Luck. It's a long shot, but that seems to be the case in most trades. And outside of games vs. SF, Houston, and Arizona, the Buffalo schedule is fairly light on good pass defenses.

I offered Austin and Morris for AJ Green and a nobody and the guy turned it down. He has total crap for RB. He has Green, T. Smith, Mike Wallace and D. Thomas for WR but will not budge on Green.

He countered with Wallace for Morris. As of now, I am going go turn that down.

I posted my dilemma earlier:

Austin and Megatron are on bye while Nicks and Jennings are injured. I managed to get Hartline on waivers but I am in need of another WR for this week.

I don't think I want to give up a solid RB for a WR that is injured off and on as I am dealing with that already.

Since this is fantasy football, any of you guys do Fanduel or the like? I got two teams going this week for $1 and $2 entries.

$1 game: Ryan, Lynch, Morris, Cruz, Julio, Decker, Tamme, Kasay, and Houston
$2 game: Ryan, Peterson, Forte, Julio, Harvin, D Thomas, Pitta, Bryant, and Houston

As you can tell, I'm high on ATL's passing game this week. Also Houston D to tear up the anemic Jet's offense.

I don't think you can get much for quarterbacks right now. It has been up and down for the majority of quarterbacks. People who are not trusting their QBs are playing QB Carousel on the waiver wire while people needing a bye week replacement will just pick one up off the WW.

Fitz is putting up good numbers but I don't think people are buying into him yet and his matchup this week is rough. Doubt you can get anything worthwhile for him but its worth a shot.

Arizona or San Fran defense this week?

Screwed up last week and had san fran out.. arizona did great but 29 points for san fran 🙁 Before that they were doing terrible though!

Someone wants to make the following trade:

My:
Alex Smith
Andre Brown

for his:
Philip Rivers
Doug Martin

Note: All players involved would be backups for me.

Should I take it?

Really? Martin at least has a starting role and Rivers has an enormously higher upside than Smith. No brainer IMHO.

Martin had a whopping 2 more carries than Blount last week, and Smith has outperformed Rivers so far.

Aaaaaaaaaand I just noticed that Rivers is on a bye the week I need him.

Martin still plays KC, NO x 2, Carolina, ATL x 2 and STL. Some of the worst rush defenses in the league.

Rivers doesn't have a horrible schedule outside of Pitt in terms of pass rated defenses.

As far as backups go, it's a fair deal.

As far as starters go, Martin is utter crap. He's a marginal flex play at best until the Bucs remember that they have two talented RBs on the team.

Haha, well, so much for Ryan Williams having an easy matchup!

Oh and in one of my leagues, I benched Amendola at the last minute. Lucky! EDIT: But I benched him in favor of Andre Roberts, and while Roberts didn't get hurt, he actually got fewer points.

Glad to see I still have the touch of death this year.

Fred Jackson - hurt.
Aaron Hernandez - hurt.
Pick up Hillis - hurt.
Grab McCluster - hurt.
Grab Ryan Williams - hurt.
Amendola - hurt.

I've recently grabbed Andy Dalton and Jackie Battle...so be wary about their long term health now.

Trying to decide which 2 running backs to start in my 10 team standard scoring league:

MJD, Chris Johnson, Willis McGahee, BenJarvus Green-Ellis

Thinking MJD & Willis McGahee right now

Need to pick 2 of these RBs in standard scoring league:
Jamaal Charles, Darren Sproles, Cedric Benson, Alfred Morris

Thinking Charles and Sproles, but Morris may be a better option.
