Cutler.

I would not start anyone playing against SF. 49ers DEF is just rabid.

Plus GB's DEF is actually weak, despite whatever 'upgrades' they supposedly made

I was going to say the same but I took a look at the numbers from last year,
Stafford went 293-2-0 against SF. In Cutler's last game against GB he went 302-2-2. I know Chi upgraded their offense but Cutler's career against GB isn't great 242(AVG)-7-11.

Point is, I don't think it's as easy of a decision as it seems on the surface of things.

Cutler has a healthy Forte & Brandon Marshall - something he hasn't had in the past all at once. Stafford doesn't have much of a run game, but a lot of options to pass to. The problem is, the 49ers will be putting him into the ground regardless, so will he be able to weather the hits without it scaring him?

just about all of the good QBs the 49ers faced last year threw for 300 yards, including 2 playoff games(brees threw for 400)

Cutler vs GB is a great matchup so it's close. Go with your gut

The 49ers usually jump out to leads so QBs tend to start throwing more. They're also pretty susceptible to the dump offs and underneath routes, but they tackle quickly and rarely let the big one get through.

Also, consider that Stafford will be playing @ SF in the outdoors as opposed to his home dome.

Which 2 RBs should I start in my 10 team standard scoring league? Leaning towards sticking with MJD and Chris Johnson though Martin and Lawfirm did put up good numbers in week 1, not sure how good the Bengals running game will be against the Browns though.

MJD
Chris Johnson
Doug Martin
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
Willis Mcgahee

You guys haven't made my decision much easier but great points. I'll have to make it a game time decision (though game time will be Thursday unfortunately).

I did horrible in my first week of FF as I came in last place with only 72 points. Someone help me clean up my team and who should I put in the lineup for this weekend?!! League is standard.

I dropped Isaac Redman and Titus Young for Alfred Morris and Stephen Hill. Good or bad decision?

You should be starting Roddy White and Eric Decker.

Good decision dropping Redman, I don't really see a lot of upside with him.

I switched it up but why do you believe those two players are going to have a better week 2 then Lance Moore and Brandon Lloyd?

Because Lance Moore is not named Darren Sproles or Jimmy Graham and Brandon Lloyd is not named Aaron Hernandez or Rob Gronkowski?

I see what you're saying but you don't have to be so condescending. This is my first year playing FF. The reason I had Lance Moore up top is because he had 18 fantasy points week one and I was hoping for the same results. Eric Decker only had 5 points.

You don't base value on one week's results.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be condescending. Forgot that Moore is a #2 now, but the Saints are the Saints - good team but no coach/lack of consistent focus and direction. Their main weapons are Graham, Sproles and Colston. Everyone else on their roster can have a breakout week, but shouldn't really be "counted on" for any sort of consistent production. It's just the way the Saints are.

As far as Brandon Lloyd goes, he's an unknown with the Pats. Potential home run threat with Brady behind the wheel in a high octane offense. But again, the main weapons on the Pats are Hernandez and Gronkowski. Week 1 performance indicates that even Welker might be getting pushed out of the equation, otherwise he'd be on that list. Everybody else not on the list is a week to week potential breakout star, but other than that can't be relied on until there's some proven pattern of consistency.

Gotta ask - Decker only had 5 points... I'm guessing this ISN'T a PPR league?

Roddy White will be targeted a ton if Julio Jones is covered well by Champ Bailey against Denver. Even if he isn't, he's still a reliable WR2 and should put up respectable FF points.

Eric Decker isn't a lock to put up more points than Lance Moore, but I do think Moore's Sunday performance was more a result of Devery Henderson being injured. Plus you can't be sure who Brees will throw to, though there is a lot of upside with Moore on a good day. I like Decker going forward simply because he did well preseason (I know it technically doesn't count, but he's improved as a third year receiver) and Peyton will continue to develop a rapport with him.

I think you should play Roddy White for sure, and Decker you should consider playing. I wouldn't blame you if you went Lance Moore this week, though.

Okay... seriously... the only league I'm in (Friends and Family league)... I have to share this cause you all need a good laugh.

Someone dropped Philip Rivers for Mark Sanchez.

I could see picking up Sanchez as a backup, but they dropped Rivers? :(

I never make drastic moves off week 1 performance, especially if the player is historically consistent. Shooting yourself in the foot. You drafted them for a reason.

What do you guys think about this for week 2?

Starting: Cam Newton, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Arian Foster, Darren Sproles, Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, Matt Prater, Chi (D)
Bench: DHB, Big Ben, Jermaine Gresham, Santonio Holmes, Sidney Rice, Alfred Morris

vs.

Starting: Tom Brady, Percy Harvin, Eric Decker, DeMarco Murray, Trent Richardson, Michael Crabtree, Alex Henery, Houston (D)
Bench: MJD, Demariyus Thomas, Kenny Britt, Jared Cook, Rashad Jennings, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Stephen Hill

Question 1: Should I make any changes to my lineup?
Question 2: Assuming he has an optimal linuep, how do you guys fancy my chances of beating him?

I get: Jeremy Maclin

I give: Kevin Smith

My RB: Adrian Peterson, CJ Spiller, Kevin Smith, Doug Martin, Donald Brown, Jacquizz Rogers

My WR: Stevie Johnson, Torrey Smith, Mike Wallace, Justin Blackmon

What do you guys think? While I like Kevin Smith, I think come week 3 his carries will be split, and his value is at it's highest while Maclin is at his lowest due to his injury. He is in desperate need of RB, only has Michael Turner, Ryan Matthews, Rashard Jennings, and Mendenhall.

pretty fair deal, maybe leaning towards you a little bit. but definitely a very good deal considering the rest of your roster.
