A game the Avs should lose after getting blasted by their own division? This is almost a surefire win for the Avs. Just look at their record. They are 10-14 because those 14 are mostly inner division games where as the 10 are against the rest of the west.

At the very least, they stand a good chance of winning because thats just the way they roll.

Yea nice call on that Toews bulldoze in front of the net. The kind of shit that happens nearly every game to the Avs. I've never seen a team get fucked over by the refs as much as the Avs have this year. Varlomov is literally bulldozed to the ground after blocking his shot, Kane shoots with Varlomov on the ground and the goal counts? Not only was that not a goal, it should have been 2 min PP for us. Even our announcers were flabbergasted and they never comment on "no calls".

Don't get me wrong, congrats on the win. They deserved it, but 2 of the 3 games the Avs lost the officiating was terrible. The one they won didn't have any of those crazy calls that amounted to a goal.

Did you watch that last night? I don't know that I've ever seen a worse "no call" on goalie interference

Oh stop whining. Good teams overcome officiating all the time. The fact of the matter is it was well within the rules.

69.1 Interference on the Goalkeeper - This rule is based on the premise that an attacking player’s position, whether inside or outside the crease, should not, by itself, determine whether a goal should be allowed or disallowed. In other words, goals scored while attacking players are standing in the crease may, in appropriate circumstances be allowed. Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.

The goalie came out, just barely, and contact started outside of the blue paint while Toews was attacking the net with the puck. Toews then attempted to avoid excessive contact with him but was also tied up with a defender at the same time. Your goalies stick got tied up in the traffic and dragged.

Did you even read that?

Incidental contact?

Outside the goal crease?

I guess you didn't watch the game because it was neither of those. It was right inside the crease and he was BULLDOZED. It was a blatant no call that ended up in a goal and gave the Hawks a 3-2 lead when momentum was going the way of the Avalanche.

I said you deserve the win and congrats. It was also a blatant no call that would have been called for any of the "super star" teams in the league.

NHL is becoming the NBA

OK what was the score then? I just remember the Avs had just scored. Probably to make it 2-1 and then that one made it 3-1

Regardless, did you watch the game? Was it interference or not? There is only one correct answer.

The Avs got handled regardless, its just more reason to be upset because the Avs are terrible AND they rarely get calls to go their way. I don't want the Avs to get calls unless they are correct, but the correct call nearly always seems to only be called if it goes against them. Its a theme this year that anyone watching the games can see.

Luckily the Nuggets are getting calls making the NBA look retarded. I'll just start watching them I guess. Go for the TANK AVS!!

Damn Brodeur hogging all of the records... Just scored his third NHL goal. Was an own goal by the Canes.

Detroit has a lot of fans everywhere.
Happens when you are an original six team.

Amusing pic to see though 😀

Has a lot to do with so many people moving away too. I swear Tampa is supported by retirees from Michigan (actually a lot of Canadians too) Then you've got all the auto transplants, or people just fleeing train wreck labor markets like Flint & Detroit and ending up all over the place. I don't see fans of the other 5 original six teams showing up so well at 29 arenas.

I remember back around the turn of the century, it was impossible to get Wings tickets at the Joe. Nowadays it's pretty easy. Between then and now Michigan has lost nearly 2 million residents.

i heard, but did not see. im also told he brought his A game that night after returning from a back problem. awesome.

hurricanes have gone from being sort of okay sometimes to sucking horribly. no ward, and no i think i heard no ellis? never mind other injuries they had this year...hopeless. thats a lot of money to see washed down a drain.

glad i didnt spend any money on the bastards this season 🙂

Boston plays their final game in hand on Montreal tonight against Toronto at the Garden.

Bruins haven't fixed their recent issues so Julien finally changed up the lines yesterday at practice. His veteran binky, Jay Pandawful is still in the lineup though. WTF...

Damn! The Pens are going all in this season.

Brenden Morrow from Dallas. Douglas Murray from San Jose.
