Yes, because calling someone an idiot for saying Lebron would be average 20 years ago makes me "on Lebrons tip." 🙄

Please take your stupidity somewhere else.

It's not stupidty, it's the truth.

Your typical Lebron of today = average player in those days. But back then we had a league that was filled with amazing talent/players.....unlike today.

That's some crazy talk in that list IMO. Steve Nash significantly below Bosh? Bosh just slightly below Ray Allen and Jason Kidd?

Keep in mind that this only takes into account NBA stats. Manu has a much higher than 13% chance of getting in - he'll probably be a first ballot pick. That would also move Nash up since he played for Canada.

This is almost sig worthy...I'm surrounded by some of the most rabid Lebron haters and even they wouldn't say he is average now, 20 yrs ago, 50 years, whatever amount of years ago.

You can't be serious. Who could you possibly thinking of that were on the same level of all-around-play like Lebron that would make him an "average" player in the league 20 years ago?

I'm the biggest LeBron hater on AT - well, maybe not anymore - and I wouldn't even say that.

The 6th foul on James was non-existent... What a ridiculous call.

But I'm happy the Pacers won. I want a long series, if nothing else. And, hey, Spurs / Pacers Final? Two of the nicest teams in the league. It's hard to find anything bad to say about either one of them. I don't think it's going to happen, but it would be nice.

You know know many people get non-existent and ridiculous calls when they get anywhere close to James on a normal day? You don't have to wait long, just keep your eyes and mind open on Thursday and you will see a lot of those, just on the other side!

Wade sure. Lebron, no way. Guy gets absolutely mauled when he goes to the rim. And he rarely gets calls in his favor away from the basket. Wade has made a career in getting cheap fouls with the pump fake and drawing contact when driving. That's what won him his first championship. Lebron gets treated more like a typical big man when he has the ball and doesn't get nearly as many in his favor.

Doesn't look like a flop, seems the like his leg was hit and he got twisted. Don't know if we was trying to selling it by waving his hands though. You could see the other guy also lost his balance.

That looks like a Grade A flop to me. It's an exaggerated response to contact intended to draw a foul. Would LeBron have tried to do that at the end of a game? Hell no, it's a flop.

You have got to be kidding.

Because they both flopped.

The NBA needs to start assessing fouls for unnecessary flops on the Offensive end.

Wade will foul out in the first 5 minutes. I don't think the refs have called a single foul on a Wade defender out of spite of him falling to the floor every possession; the funny part is Wade costs his team at least 4-6 points+ a game by not getting back on Defense.

Lebron looks like he got punched in the face by Casper the ghost.

have ball will travel LeBron

Clearly a foul against the celtics was the right call.

This is what I see, granted to lesser extent, when I watch LeBron play basketball. Travel, carry over (common not just to James), bailed out by calls. He's incredible player regardless, but he gets TONS of help by officiating on a consistent basis. Wade may get more, but doesn't mean LeBron isn't getting a fair share of ridiculous help from officials.

Games too fast and played to such a high level by LeBron/wade and company,... I don't fault the refs beyond to the degree of Bias granted the entire Heat lineup compared to their opponents. That being said, the biggest BS calls fall Lebrons way, much too often.

Lol is this a joke? Lebron is a freak of nature, he would excel in any era of basketball.

He's got a body of a PF (6'8, ~250 lbs) and the quickness and agility of a PG. Deadly combination.

LOL James would have been average 20 years ago, sheieieieieit that would be the greatest ball you could ever watch if Lebron was the AVERAGE player. If he's average who would be top tier?

I can't even comprehend how some people open their mouth.

West is no saint. He's had a lot of ticky tacky stuff called, but for every one of those there's 2 or 3 that don't get called. I can't remember if it was game one or two but he jacked Chalmers right in the injured shoulder with his elbow completely away from the ball. And on any number of other plays he's got some extra curricular contact with a shove, elbow pop, leg, ect.

I'm not a homer to any team left in the playoffs. Chicago got bumped out so I have no horse left in the race. I'd love to see an Indy vs Spurs championship game. Basically the definition of the "new" and the "old". I'd enjoy seeing SA getting a final ring for Timmy and have always been a Ginobili fan. Parker is playing the best ball of his career and Popovich is easily the best coach in the league. They are also a small market and have a great fan base (even if they have some outspoken ones here 😛).

I have similar comments for Indy. They have a young team, play an aggressive, defense heavy style and going to *and losing* a championship series should make that team even hungrier.

I cheer against the Heat as I do not think that the "Super Team" is healthy for the sport, I can't stand stand Dwhine Wade, and Miami fans are terrible. It's not that they are obnoxious, it's just that the stadium really has zero energy and they just seem apathetic. I respect Lebron's game and his abilities. There isn't another like him that's played the game. I also respect how deadly that team can be. Doesn't mean I like them.

🙂

What great players does Lebron play against?

You see, that's what used to make amazing players in NBA. Greats would compete against other greats at the highest level.

As of now, James is struggling AGAINST AVERAGE PLAYERS at the time where great players of the 80s/90s did spectacular things.

Did I over exaggerate a bit on my previous statement? Sure

It's easy to be great when there isn't much great around. There is hardly a handful of "great" players in NBA today and even they are not doing "all that great" when it counts.

Remember, Jordan had to play against THE BEST and still did some amazing things on CONSISTANT basis.

Cause you see, there isn't much consistency left in these new age players. And I'm not talking about putting up big numbers (I know James can do that on regular basis).

I'm talking about ALWAYS being there when it counts (end of games/when it matters).

James simply doesn't step up to the plate when he should.
