Anyone who didn't think the Tigers would win the WS by July is an idiot. Come on, what better feel-good story would there be than the team from the worst fucking city in America winning the WS? Tigers will win it in 6 games. Gotta make it look like it's not rigged and gotta milk those fans.

Seriously, has CC ever walked 3 people in an inning in his life? Can you say squeezed? Yanks don't deserve to win, granted, but the Tigers aren't that good. Swisher and Tex need to be split up in the lineup...bat them 7th and 9th. It's like two free outs every time through the order. Arod at least takes his walks. And, yay for our $12million setup man...torpedoing our season one game at a time!

I found that flyball to right hilarious when all the yank players though it was a HR. Must be nice to play in a stadium where my mom could hit one out..
 
Well, who would think Porcheezy would be in a position to close out the Yanks? He'd be an ace if the games were only 5 innings long. Leyland will probably need to go to the bullpen early, but that's OK, talk about well rested. I'd let Albuquerque pitch a couple. Let him avenge that home run he gave up.

Too many of the Tigers are gripping their bats too tight. I think that's why Santiago and Inge have done well, they're loose. Delmon was lucky to have run into one, Cabby is chasing everything thrown at him, Martinez is pulling everything, someone give these guys a Valium. If they settle down against Burnett it could be over, early.

Yup, the ump blew last night and threw CC off his rhythm. The funny thing is that before the game, they were saying that CC should love this ump b/c he's had many dominating performances in the past with him behind the plate.

Verlander was clearly amped up and I was worried earlier in the year that he's too emo, and that came out last night but he escaped both jams. The good news is that after a couple of starts he'll settle down and not try to overthrow like last night. Otherwise he was his superhuman self, 100+ in the 8th inning? WTF did his mother feed him as a child?? He gets stronger as the game progresses, simply amazing.

The Yanks are the only team I don't want to see win this year. Knock them out and I'll be happy with any outcome, preferably Philly though.
 
Rays are already down 2-0 according to my ESPN app. Not looking good.

I can't watch the game because I'm at work. Thanks MLB for putting the Rays in the afternoon for all the games. 🙁
