Dude you do know that both Schaub and Freeman are currently ranked about Rivers right? I mean you might be able to make an argument for Rivers over Freeman but I wouldn't replace Schaub with Rivers right now... Also not for the top 3 WR's.

Most, if not all FF setups I've ever used (Yahoo/ESPN/NFL.com) lock players ~15-30 minutes before gametime. Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on their part.

That said, yes, ESPN is a fucking horrid interface.

I have never seen players locked that early. I would not call it poor planning either. I was at work trying to catch the injury report which usually doesn't come out until 11:45 here and was going to adjust my lineup accordingly. My bad for working seven days, twelve hours a day then having a family life outside of work.

I won't touch ESPN and NFL.com just pulled this, so is yahoo the best? Is there something better?

In my league schaub has 20 more points than rivers. rivers already had his bye week, schaub hasn't. Schaub has to deal with arian foster running for a million yards and TDs, I'd say Rivers has the upside going forward. It's close enough though and anyone with schaub would be retarded to trade a stud WR for rivers

Yeah. Schaub has a potential downside with Foster playing but still. the sentiment holds true. No one should be trading a #1,#2 or #3 WR for Rivers when Schaub is an option.

That's basically two scrubs for one of the top WR's. You're gonna have to offer better than that, IMO. But, I've seen worse trades.

So I sat Jordy Nelson and Demarco Murray yesterday. I suck.

A lot of Foster's yards come from receiving, though, as do some of his TDs.

LT is what made Rivers so good for a couple of those years.


This is actually the first year that I didn't draft Rivers--he was my all-time QB form the season that he started. I didn't expect him to drop this year, I just had a feeling that Brady was going to dominate. It looked like an excellent decision the first couple of weeks, but Brady has started to become Mr INT himself. Now they are about even, week-to-week...

I think it depends on Tolbert. If Tolbert is in, then go with Rivers. If not, Newton.

Rivers has always been most successful as a dink and dunk passer with a solid HB catching shovel passes 5 yards out. Without that, and the year-long health issues with Gates, Rivers has become very, very uncomfortable out there.

Gates dropped at least 3 passes last week that would have been sure catches any other season (of course, that one PI non-call by the refs would have given him a TD and SD the win. 🙁)

fuck man. I could easily have won this week's game! my own fault. Lost 102-91 Played Moreno, and he scored 0 points, while Sproles sat on my bench scoring 16 points! That alone would have won me the game. And ESPN got me rethinking Jets D this week...so I benched them and picked up Chiefs D because they were projected for 12 pts. Chiefs ended up scoring -4 points while Jets scored 10 points on my bench! That knocked me off the #1 spot in my division

I sat McGahee for Roddy, and look what that did. I lost by about 4 points.

Lesson learned, NEVER put a WR over a starting RB AGAIN.

I'm trying to trade Tolbert+Jordy Nelson for Vincent Jackson. If this goes through I should be unstoppable.

FYI, reason I have good RBs is because this was a keeper league where you had to keep one (but could keep two, 2nd could not be same position as first keeper) and draft order was determined by last season's record. My team sucked last year so I had 2nd choice in second keeper round (McCoy) and 2nd choice in first live round (Gore). Kept Calvin Johnson.

12-team league lineup would be:

QB: Stafford (or Big Ben)
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Vincent Jackson
RB: LeSean McCoy
RB: Frank Gore (thanks for talking me in to not trading this guy)
TE: Jermichael Finley
K: John Kasay
DEF: Cowboys (not great but meh)

Trading Tolbert doesn't really hurt my depth because I also have McGahee in case one of the backs goes down. Jonathan Stewart too but hopefully it never gets to that point.

Detroit's run game sucks. Morris gets about 50yds rushing per game (at his best) and maybe a reception or two. He has 5 receptions in his last 4 games. Det also signed Kevin Smith during the bye so Morris will share time with him and Williams.

Short story long, Morris isn't a good play.
