he won't be back in Denver after this year, so might as well try to get something for him. The asking price is pretty cheap I believe.

4th or 5th round pick, i believe. The Ravens got Lee Evans for a 4th (I think). If I had to choose between Lloyd or Evans for a 4th round pick, I'd obviously go Lloyd.

What do you guys think on this barn burner?

Eli Manning + Ryan Mathews

for

Chris Johnson + DeSean Jackson + Owen Daniels

Does the trade seem justified since Manning + Mathews have combined for 221.7 points on the year - where as Johnson + Jackson + Daniels have only combined for 202.4 points on the year? Its the #6 QB, #6 RB for the #18 RB, #16 WR, and #6 TE based on our league scoring.

I would argue that the players potential for CJ2K and DeSean are infinitely higher for the rest of the year and points up to now don't really play that big of a role.

The team of the person getting Eli Manning had Philip Rivers and Kyle Orton as his QB's. Mistake since they both have the same bye week, however he only needs a fill in this week and (I would think) start Philip Rivers for the rest of the year.

The team trading Eli Manning has Tom Brady so Eli definitely would not have played except during Brady's bye week.

From which side would you make this trade? I personally feel that the person getting CJ, DeSean and Owen Daniels is making out like a bandit. I feel its a rather lopsided trade to say the least.

BTW, this is a PPR league, rest of the scoring mostly default.

the CJ side is getting a great deal. The problem with arguing for a veto is that Eli, I believe, probably has more points than Rivers up to this point. And Mathews I'm sure looks a lot better on paper than CJ. Desean doesn't look very good either. But I think it's a pretty bad trade, but not veto-able.

That's my opinion. I'm still not sold on Matthews...and I'm definitely not sold on Eli. Wasn't Mathews leaving last weeks game on crutches? As far as Eli he'll have a couple good games and then put up two negative point efforts.

CJ will get his groove back and be a consistent producer, Daniels leads the TE crew in red zone looks and puts up decent yards per game making him a top 5, if not top 3 TE. I'd put him behind Graham and Finley, with maybe Gronkowski being the next in line. I think Gonzales is a bit of an illusion and will fade off quickly.

Jackson is the only real question mark in that trade, huge min/max kinda guy who thrives on big plays that Philly just can't pull off at this point. I still wouldn't make the trade even with just Daniels and Johnson on the table for Eli and Mathews.

That trade seems ridiculous, especially if you were to do it right after the draft.

But, based on the way things have gone so far, I wouldn't veto it.

Edit: Whoa now, I read that completely wrong. That trade is crazy.

I don't think it's a veto. The one guy is obviously not the greatest fantasy player. Having easy competition like that is fun, but it opens up chances like this to happen. On paper he might be upgrading his QB and RB, even though it's a bad trade. Can't really veto it because the guy is dumb

I'm with ya.

Was so close to trading Bowe for a RB. Decided to hold off and see how I did with crappy RBs. Grabbed Graham as a bye fill-in for Chris Johnson. Now it looks like Blount is out for 4-6 weeks.

Mwahahahaha!

Not really, the guy who gets CJ, DeSean and Daniels could easily be the best team now. If CJ picks it up like most would expect, TE was a position he needed an upgrade at. The rest of his team was boss.

Well yeah, it sucks, I feel for you. But the only way to prevent stupid trades like that is to only allow smart players in the league. It's a tough spot to be in. I've seen it plenty of times in my league, which is pretty high stakes, so it sucks. But it is what it is, I don't think that deal is so terrible that it must be veto'd even if the one guy really think it's a fair deal for him

Realistically, you shouldn't veto a trade unless you're almost positive there's some sort of collusion going on. Stupidity is allowed and highly encouraged, haha.

Not to say that assholes won't veto just b/c they're pissed they're not getting certain players or something.

Having trouble deciding WR's (green is bench)

League 1
QB: Tom Brady
WR: DeSean Jacson, Victor Cruz, Eric Decker,Mario Manningham, Johnny Knox, Mike Thomas, Pierre Garcon and Darrius Heyward-Bey
RB: Adrian Peterson, Darren Sproles, Jahvid Best, CJ Spiller
TE: Jimmy Graham, Jason Witten

What WRs and RBs (Jahvid Best vs Darren Sproles)

League 2
QB: Rex Grossman, Matt Schaub
WR: Deion Branch, Victor Cruz, Andre Johnson, Mario Manningham, Darrius Heyward-Bey
RB: LeSean McCoy, Ahmad Bradshaw, Stevan Ridley
TE: Jermaine Gresham

Pierre Carcon instead of Vic Cruz in league A.
Stick with the backs you have, SF hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 27 games.
You can almost flip a coin at TE, both solid choices

League B looks good

I'll disagree. Any HIGHLY lopsided trade should be vetoed, be it stupidity or collusion. The trade above isn't highly lopsided though.

Definitely this. So many people veto out of envy or bitterness.

If both sides think they are upgrading their teams, without the hint of collusion, then the trade should stand.

For week 6 should I start Percy Harvin or Brandon Marshall? Or should I pick up Darrius Heyward-Bey and start him instead? If I pick up Darrius, should I drop Harvin or Marshall? Thanks.

DHB would be a good pickup, but I'm not sure who to drop. Keep in mind that Marshall said he wants to be kicked out of the game by the 2nd quarter, so that sounds like a bad player to use.

Ok, this is what my team looks like:

Alex Smith, Jeremy Maclin, Victor Cruz, Darren McFadden, Arian Foster, Jimmy Graham, DHB, David Akers, SF (DEF)

vs.

Aaron Rodgers, Mike Wallance, Santonio Holmes, Ahmad Bradshaw, BJGE, Dallas Clark, Pierre Garcon, Mason Crosby, Chicago (DEF)

What are my chances of winning this matchup?

Who should I throw in my flex? This is default scoring, non PPR

Daniel Thomas or Rashard Mendenhall or Shonn Greene

Thinking Mendenhall even though he has been struggling, otherwise Thomas against the Jets - the problem is I think they're going to get their shit together against the run. Shonn Greene ... just not feelin him this year. Please elaborate on your choice

I need some better TE's. I currently have Fred Davis and Scott Chandler, with Davis starting with a projection of 10 pts, and Chandler sitting on bench with projection of 8 pts. I'm thinking of picking up Visanthe Shiancoe from FA for Chandler. The only reason I'm thinking of picking up Shiancoe is because of what ESPN has to say about him -
"If Donovan McNabb ever regains his accuracy, Shiancoe could be a monster. He certainly gets enough bounced balls headed in his direction."
How does Shiancoe seem for future play? Or should I keep Chandler?

edit: PPR league
