Ehh I like it (i'm assuming you mean auction league). keeps you on your toes in terms of waiver pickups especially since you can just outbid someone. we MAY have to tweak the amount of money allocated for waivers as it seems a bit high right now. Of course, we'll see if i have the same opinion at the end of the year. Also, ATOT has always been stingy with the trading so very often you don't have much choice except the waiver wire.

ATOT is stingy with trading because in my experience with both baseball and football leagues, no one's interested in value for value. Rather you get offers like:

"Hey I'll give you 2 guys you've never heard of I just picked up off the waivers for Adrian Peterson. Sound good?"

I like the format of KT's ESPN league. I'm in TJ's keeper league too, and to be honest if I'd had looked closer and saw that it wasn't head to head I'd never have participated. The cumulative scoring ones are dumb because a couple unlucky weeks and you're done for the season.

You want to trade away the ONLY offensive weapon the Chiefs have left for a slot receiver that has upside or one that has a dislocated elbow? And slayer thought I was nuts.

Seconded x Infinity. That's a horrible trade offer. If he takes that, he's castrating his team for no reason.

I've never had a bench that small so yea, I think thats definitely the biggest issue. Also, when we changed the waiver wire I completely misunderstood. Normally you have a few days to pick guys up and then on Wedn or Thurs whenever the wire day ends, after that all FA's are available at any time, so you can grab a guy Sunday morning if things change. The way its setup now, you have to get him Saturday or miss the opportunity. Which isn't that bad, the bench thing is the main thing.

Same league you are in, ATOT Fantasy League done by KT

I'e never done a league with such a short bench before, but I actually really like it. It makes you have to really pay attention and make tough decisions aside from who to just sit/start, you need to actually make tough drops. The other leagues I am in have a deep bench which makes it really all about the draft, particularly the one because it's waiver pick-ups, so you are just at the mercy of that, which I absolutely hate.

Now the keeper league I'm in is a pretty horrible setup (one of the main reasons being Yahoo which is just freaking awful, I may need to quit doing any Yahoo leagues in the future) and I'm already not caring about that league, which is kind of bad so early on. 😀

Anyway, different strokes. I'm actually enjoying the two main PPR leagues more than I've enjoyed any leagues in a long while.

I've already done that, I only play on ESPN now. Yahoo is still better than the other offerings like CBS, but ESPN is just better in every way

Indeed. I just didn't realize how much the small bench would screw me, and the bottom line is that I'm just bitter since my team isn't strong enough to take the hit that Charles' injury dealt me 😛

I have to hope Thomas Jones can really pick it up as well as the whole Chiefs offense. Austin Collie not getting any action because of Mannings injury is also killing me, as well as Starks stealing the job from Grant (which I didn't realize was happening, thought it would be split) I basically have nobody of use on my bench.

Well don't look now, but I would consider the trade for a moment. No, it's not a good deal. However, I think Nelson finishes with more points from here on out. Definitely not without risk and not a "smart" move, but Cassel is horrible and Nelson is in a great position.

and 5 bench spots is enough. 12 teams makes the FAs thin enough, you don't need teams hogging players. My main league has 5 bench spots, and we start 2 QBs plus a rookie. That's tough. But it makes free agency interesting, because we bid real $$ on players

You HAVE to think Cassel will step it up. I really don't think Nelson will have better fantasy numbers than Bowe.

Besides, Cassel can suck and Bowe can still get 100 yards. Imagine if Cassel plays better.

I picked up Bengals rookie QB Andy Dalton, it's a gamble but he looked darn good last Sunday and I'm weak at QB. Also check out Brandon LaFell of Carolina, with what Newton is doing he could get some good points.

It's one of those trades you can't make, but I really do think it might turn out that way. I have no faith in Cassel/Bowe

Totally agree on the keeper league. I'm in so many leagues I forgot to look at the details and wow, the cumulative scoring is an absolute snooze. I would have petitioned to change that if I had noticed. :colbert:

Breaking news: Cedric Benson suspended for 3 games.

With that in mind... who am I slotting in his stead? Hightower (vs. Dallas) or Sproles (vs. Texans)? The obvious answer is Ben Tate, if Foster can't go. 😛

I got annihilated in my main league last week (got beat by my cousin, 59-127...). I really need a win this week or I am looking at a downward skid, I am having trouble figuring out which wide receivers to start. Any help appreciated. Non-ppr league.

QB - Josh Freeman
RB - Ben Tate, Ryan Mathews
W/T - Anquan Boldin, Hakeem Nicks, Dexter Mccluster
K- Robbie Gould
D/ST - Dallas

Bench:
Reggie Wayne
Jimmy Graham
Ryan Grant
Mark Ingram
Hines Ward
Colt Mccoy
David Nelson

I am most def starting Nicks and Boldin, deciding on who to put in my 3rd slot (Mccluster, Wayne, Graham or Nelson).

DeAngelo Williams is on the FA list and I'm thinking of picking him up for long term investment. Who should I drop or should I even pick him up? How's the situation in Jacksonville with Stewart?

I currently have P. Thomas and B. Tate to drop. I'm thinking Tate as his value may be diminishing because of Foster's return. However, Thomas is splitting carries with Ingram and Sproles now too.

Trade advice. I'm weak at RB.

Give - NE TE Gronkowski
Get - Jamal Charles replacement Jones

I'm torn, leaning towards NO. Gronk is just such a good bet to get a TD and in my league receiving yards are 8 yards/point and TDs are 8. He got me some 26 points last game.

I wouldn't make that trade.

weird, that's a tough one. I'm not sure how deangelo has been doing, but not very well I don't think. Pierre is probably safer to drop. Ingram gets the TDs and sproles most receptions. Tate is more valuable

Before Hernandez injury I'd do it, but now Gronk will get even more looks.

Uh, yes.

Thomas Jones is still available in your league? Crazy.

What other RBs are still available?

with KC offense, i dont think they have a running game at all ,since they're most likely playing from behind the whole season;

not much on RB in the FA market. Caddy is available.

heh it's a good sign in my work league (much less competitive) when someone drops desean jackson on monday and i manage to get him off waiver with my #5 slot priority. starting wrs are now nicks, v jax, djax, steve johnson.

good times! 🙂

ok i got a $60 sidebet against my opponent this weekend. I have 3 wr spots. who do you guys think I should play?

G. Jennings
D. Branch
J. Maclin
D. Bowe
A. Brown
