I saw Manute Bol in person once - I thought he was one of those cardboard movie posters

Shaq in person, though - looks like the biggest guy on the planet. Even LeBron looks very small next to him.

anyone following what the Rockets are up to?

They have 3 first round picks now - and the rumor mill is churning that they are about to pick up 2 more - one from Sacramento, and one from Toronto, all as ammo to make a move for Dwight Howard. Their plan then is to try and sign Deron Williams - remember he is from Texas - and if that doesn't work, swing a deal for Rudy Gay or Josh Smith - two players that are close friends of Howard's. I knew Howard and Smith knew each other - they were on the same AAU team - but I was not aware he is friends with Rudy.

Very ambitious of them to gut their roster to make a play for Howard.

Hopefully, someone in the Howard camp is finally giving him some good advice.

Couple interesting tidbits today in addition to that....Brandon Roy is looking to make a comeback next year. That could prove interesting...no clue what condition his knees are in and how much meaningful playing time he'd be able to give a future team.

Also, Stern being the almighty dictator he is has "fined" OKC their 2nd round pick and given it to Boston for the Perkins/Green trade. Ok...so what kind of precident does that set? Can Dallas now sue LA for sending them a cardboard cutout of Lamar Odom?

Dallas should sue Odom, period - and how is he still eligible to play on the Olympic team after that fiasco?

Houston's definitely the most interesting team the last few days. Rumor now is they're looking to get the #5 pick from Sacramento. But I think they'll have to give up at least one of their other picks to get it.
