He also left the Lakers twice, when he knew they were going to be in for a bumpy ride. He most recently said that Kobe was not the same but he thought he was, and they wouldn't win that way. That was a big part of him leaving this last time. When he left the Bulls it was when Rodman said he wasn't going to re-sign.

Maybe it is time for another cortisone shot for Wade. As long as his effectiveness is limited by his knee he shouldn't be shooting the ball like he is.
 
Wade is locked in too. The Heat are tough to beat when both are playing well.

Westbrook is again shooting the Thunder in the foot taking more shots than anyone else on the team but only 2 for 10. I don't know if there is a more overrated PG than him. Dude just kills them sometimes.

The Heat are trapping screens and it is allowing enough time for the secondary rotations to find their spots. That is why they are able to get stops tonight but couldn't the other night.

10 fast break points for the Heat in the first half versus 4 total in game one. If the Heat stay on the boards they will win easy tonight.
 
Don't forget Bosh. Bosh is playing great on the hustle plays, diving for loose balls, grabbing boards, forcing people into tough shots and scoring at a decent clip. He's got a double-double in the first half, and they need that from him if they want any chance to upset the Thunder at home.
 
I agree with Magic on Westbrook. Maybe I'm wrong! Yikes.

Broussard is an idiot, claiming that was the best Lebron and Wade have played together in 2 years. Fool must not have watched the Pacers series.

Keeps the defender at home so the defense won't collapse fully on Wade. It is a byproduct of having two slashers on the floor. He reads the post help defense, and if it is too aggressive in attacking Wade then he cuts to the basket. If they stay at home he does too, and Wade can enjoy an ISO where he usually has the advantage.

What would you have him do?

Move and get open for a pass and get the ball in his hands? Unless you think the Heat's best chance for victory are Wade iso plays.
 
Anyone who says Durant might be the best player in the NBA must think defense is an afterthought. He embarrasses himself on the defensive end more often than he makes a standout play. His effort mostly consists of swiping at the ball while someone is blowing by him. The difference between him and Melo is the team they have surrounding them.

I say that as a former UT student who enjoys watching him play. It is just frustrating to see him ignore half of his game.

You want him to run around like Ray Allen without the ball? You know he plays 44 minutes a night and has to defend the opposing best player regardless of position right? Not only that, but he isn't a catch and shoot offensive player.

When Wade is himself (like tonight and much of the regular season) then ISO is where you want him. And you don't want Lebron's defender to be able to creep into the same space Wade may slither into.

If he is running around without the ball, the only way he will get open is if players are setting off the ball screens for him. That means when he gets the ball he has to catch and shoot before either defender bounces to him. Otherwise all you have accomplished is him running around and having the ball with a defender in front of him. If you want that he can just go to the top of the key and ask for the ball.

Meanwhile, you have Wade having to stop attacking so he can watch for Lebron to squeeze open. Wade isn't a natural PG so that isn't his strength.

Doing what you propose completely disregards the skillset of two of the top ten players in the league and has them play system ball.

Yes, that is what i was saying. Just move to the top of the key and take the ball. I'm not talking about Lebron running around and curling off screens, that's rarely what he does. I realize that sometimes you get the good matchup for Wade, but too often you have Wade playing hero ball with Lebron just standing in the corner, and that's not a good thing for the Heat
 
Ok, I misunderstood. Lebron is a 40% 3pt shooter so it is worth putting him out on the short corner. It allows him to stay on the floor, put energy on defense, conserve on offense, all while Wade "gets his".
 
Three man ball with Wade, Bosh and Lebron. Double screens all around and a dunk to go up seven. Beautiful to watch.

Durant is feeling it but Westbrook still has six more shots than him.
