Garnett's reaction to the delay of game T was a perfect example. Why do you need 3 teammates to restrain you from going up to the ref that just T'd you? The Rondo T would have been a foul, or even a no call, if it was on the court during the play. The fact that he shoved Battier into the crowd during a deadball was just dumb.

Battier is a dirty player and everyone knows this.. Basically took Rondo all the way out to the sidelines... Why would Rondo react in a such way? watch the damn replay.. should've been a foul on Battier.

Come on now - you may not want the Heat to win, but Battier is one of the most liked guys in the league. He was boxing out Rondo - who has a very sneaky (and to his credit good) habit of stealing offensive rebounds by doing just what he was trying to do - he was frustrated, clearly, and his shove of Battier is proof of that - you don't shove guys who box you out.

He might be a great guy away from the court, but on the court he's dirty. He's just really subtle about it. A little shove here, a little hold there - he does a good job of hiding it. Battier boxed him out but how many times have you seen a box out that takes the other player out of bounds UNDER the basket?

you have very loose standards for the term dirty
 
As I recall the play (can't find a replay of it), the play was basically over and Battier was "boxing" Rondo out of bounds and preventing him from getting back up court. Classic case of the refs only getting the retaliation.
 
I just saw some film from Larry Bird's playing days and something struck me: I haven't seen him look happy since then. I've forgotten what he looks like when he smiles.

He looks miserable and sulky all of the time now, even when the Pacers were winning. It's sad - I think his life was basically over when he couldn't play at the highest level anymore.

Wow, Spurs are just like a well oiled machine. OKC keeps trying to claw back on raw athletic talent but just cannot match the scoring from anyone, anywhere, by SA.
 
Brooks is to be commended for keeping his team together, with an ego like Westbrook to deal with- but they remind me of the Cleveland teams with LeBron - there just isn't any offensive flow - it's all 1-1 play when they are in a half-court set..and I HATE when they y do the hand-off to Durant up top, and then everyone just stands there and watches him...has it ever occurred to them to give him the ball in the post?

I like this lineup for OKC though - you could even swap Sefa/Cook for Fisher

No need for Perkins and Ibaka on the court at the same time
