Who wouldn't suggest JNJ? They are the pinnacle of blue chip stocks. That would be like telling a rental car service to invest in insurance.

GNVC holding patterns are starting to stiffen. Nothing unusual with the "big" news coming out late March. Some big MM buyers might pump the stocks up between now and then.

TIVO, another Midas' selection, skyrockets!

Hey... I know what will win, what can I say... my timing is off by a few months though - thought this would have happened in January. But how can I complain? Up over 60%!!!!

I sold for a big profit. I read the appeal ruling and it's a huge win for TIVO. I think Echostar/Dish will need to settle, but I think it's a good time to take profits. TIVO won 2-1, although that 1 vote was Judge Rader whom I greatly respect. If this goes to the Supreme Court, I think it has a chance to be sent back down.

So what else looks good to you right now? :) You like the VHC case? Court cases seem to be your thing!

Azurik, why TSRA? And I second snoopdoug1's request :D

Actually, I have a really dumb question. How do you guys do for DD for these picks? Especially companies like GNVC and VHC. I don't know how to look beyond the financial sheets.

Stock guys, I put $2000 in AMD/Intel/DOW chemical/GE a year or so ago for kicks which is currently valued at about $4500. I kind of want to sell it, hope for this second economic crash everybody seems to be worrying about, then really go all in. What say you?

For GNVC I went to pubmed and read over the research history on TNF-alpha, as well as the available data on the structure of current trial. My female is/was a cancer biology / pharm researcher, so I had her look it over as well and explain the things I didn't understand. It's that info that convinced me it was a good buy, the financial sheets were almost irrelevant.

No real news on GNVC. Either manipulation by the big MM's or a delayed reaction from yesterday news.

Or DNDN is pulling up the biotechs. It may also be a runup in anticipation of the 184th data (which could be presented soon). I'm debating if I sell some now to rebuy later. The thing seems to move up and down like crazy... we'll see.

Bear raid on VHC!! Reminds me that of RMBS :)

Looks like good number of stop-loss taken out, I guess?

LOL wish I could have gotten in at the $4.10 price - just logged a min ago and saw that! No stop-loss for me- all in (albeit meagerly). :)

Hopefully a few of you managed to pick up a few shares at the ~4.80 level.

Looks like it recovered for the most part, still down, but leveling off.

Now everyone who had their shares stolen will have to buy in higher. Stop losses are killer sometimes.
