Anybody think HTC is a good buy? Despite the lawsuit, I think they have the upper hand over Apple. Coming from a family of iPhone owners, I think the new Android phones are going to clean house with time.

I'm sick of dropped calls on my iPhones.

verizon will have iphone this year, i won't discount it too quickly. not a stock analysis, just my geekish thoughts

Experts say it's debatable whether it's the network or the iPhone itself. I never had dropped calls on my other phones on AT&T.

ACF stock has been on a tear.
Buy and hold investing FTMFW.

TEVA, ESRX just hit their 52 week high yesterday.
COV, MR, JNJ are all a milimeter from that mark.
GILD has been a dog, but I'll still keep their stock for now...Until their patents nears expiration around 2017 at least.

Im still wondering about Greece. Everything is not kosher there. And those scoundrels at Goldman Sachs made it worse by first faciliting the loans (so they could falsify books to enter the EU to begin with), then making bets that it would not be repaid.

Scoundrels.

I wonder how this bodes for the 184th data expected later this month?

It's good news, but correct, anything preclinical really means squat when it comes to testing on humans. My own company, for instance, had hundreds of candidates that simply did not work in human trials. One of those costs the left wing nut jobs don't usually see when they're reading their communist news papers.

Though I will say if TNF actually has a systemic effect that limits or treats metasteses , we're talking big time news come late march.

Kindly keep the partisan douchebaggery out of this thread.

I'm up about 40% on GNVC (I love you guys for the pick!). Currently have MPEL and VHC on my radar. Do you think its too late to get in to VHC? Any chance of a pullback? I'm only planning to buy about 100 shares of each (in the next few weeks) in my IRA account.

I think maybe you need to look into VHC a little more. The trial starts on Monday so if you're planning on buying shares in the "next few weeks" you're either going to miss the boat (win) or not want anything to do with it (lose) IMO.

Also, such small buys, you're really cutting into your funds with trading costs. Depending on the account, you're basically 1-2% in the hole at the time of the trade. I'd buy 200 of one and skip the other.

Here's one for you guys: TEX.

I bought about 100 shares at $13 because it had lagged other equipment manufacturers in PPS. Currently trading above 21 and rumors of a takeover. The company has divested recently and it's not even close to turning a profit because it's product is not moving. But when industrial equipment orders start flowing again, it's nicely positioned (like all other players).

It's up nicely today and that's the only reason I noticed. Thoughts?

I know its not a high-tech litigation play but I mainly invest in industrial sector because I understand it better.

Good point. I'm in a cash crunch at the moment so I can't buy a lot of shares but I'm playing small positions. Keeps me sane while the market churns.

I keep waffling on CREE. Almost sold yesterday, finger on the button today. It's obviously a little higher than it should be right now, but there's no doubt the market for LED tech has a huge amount of growth left in it. Do I sell and wait for a correction into the 50s again? Hate to try and time the market, but hmmm. 225% gain with long term CG isn't a bad time to get out.

Re: GNVC: I've said before and I'll say again, I believe the interim results will be mixed, and the market won't really know how to react. These interim analysis are inherently weighted negative so it could go either way, probably depending more on the wording of the press release than on the results themselves.

That's assuming the trial does not get delayed - which seems to happen quite a bit on these patent lawsuits...

A lawyer has a mother passed away in winter, Co. B lawyer has serious health issue in next spring and so on kind of excuses. lol

snoopdoug1, it's not going to be delayed in Tyler, TX. Do your DD again.

Yep, VHC good to go in Tyler, TX.

Either way, hoping for a last minute settlement for a quick pop! Of course, if they go to trial and win, even better....

Disclosure: long 1500 now, picked up an additional 1000 at the day low of $6.72.

Would be nice to tell us when you decided to jump in yourself so we could have done the same, assuming DD is satisfied. =P

If their patents hold up against Microsoft, and all indications are they will, then future volume will not be a problem. They already have a letter of intent for collaboration with Verisign. That's a pretty good vote of confidence.

Should we then on march 8th or will it be too late?

I'm liking TEVA. It will either go higher or split. Historically, they have split when it gets to about 60, but obviously this market is a lot different than how it was a few years back.

Hopefully VHC pans out for us. :)

Was considering VHC, but it popped before I got in. Will look further into this one.

Anybody long on YRCW?

AEN got hit hard last few days then came back up again. Seems more volatile than GNVC.
