Not all of their threes were open, and in most games (Mavs games included) teams don't knock down 70% of open threes. Penetration and passing to open wing guys is a staple of basketball at any level.

Are you really trying to act like, or suggest, that the Mavs should be expected to hit 70% of their threes during games with consistency?

I'll say it again, maybe more clearly, if any team hits 70% of their threes in a game, they will win. I don't think Miami or anyone would have any hope of beating the Mavs tonight, not while they are knocking down threes at that rate.
Uh have you watched any of the playoffs. Mavs have been off the charts with their 3 point shooting all playoffs. I knew it was only a matter of time before they started hitting again. Once the Mavs start hitting their 3's it's over. Mavs are the champs. Get over it and get use to the sound of it.

Just so you know, the Mavs are shooting 38% on threes for the entirety of the playoffs. They came close to doubling that percentage. If they shot 38%, or 48%, or even 58% on threes tonight they lose. I don't know what part of that you are having trouble understanding.

If any team is hitting 70% of their threes, they will win a game. Period. If they hit 70% of their threes any other games (6 or 7 or games next season or for the entire duration of the NBA as long as it exists) they will win. But they don't average 70% from three, not even close. They aren't returning to norm, they deviated.

You can't expect him to understand logic and facts when he bolded how they're the champs. lol. And stupid me thought there was going to be a game 6 back in Miami 🙁

Calm down it's only 1-1, your team isn't up 😀 And yes you're delusional you predicted a "blow out" in the 1st game. They got this one because of an epic melt down. You know that Miami won't allow that kind of shit to happen again. As I predicted it'll be 4-1, and now your team has their 1.

there's still a lot of balling left, believe me Dirk will choke, he's 1 of the most well known chokers in the history of the game.

hahahaha

I mis judged the heat, they had every game won and blew it, they obviously don't know how to finish a game worth a shit. As for the Dirk choking part, as history being the proof. He will choke the next game and possibly game 7. That's what he does best. At this point I don't want the Heat to win, they have shown they're pussies who throw games away.

Lol lebron has freakin Jason Kidd on him and he decides to jack up a contested 3? really?

Awesome shooting! you knew the game was over with midget barrea launching 3's from 25 feet. No idea why james refuses to drive and rack up the foulshots. james should've shaken kidd while chandler was backing away from the double team during one of those long jumpers. who knows?

and I LoL everytime bosh goes butterfingers down the stretch. i hate that guy with a passion.

wait what? dirk scored 15 in the 4th and almost made the comeback. wtf are you talking about?

if lebron turned it over and then bricked the final shot in game 3, oilfield would be crying choker while ignoring everything else lebron had done thus far. way to miss the point of my post though!

Regardless of how some here may think Dallas has this in the bag, this is still very much a series. I'm rooting for Dallas and know damn well the Heat can go off at any time, especially at home.

Once again, Lebron is missing in the last 12 minutes of important games. I thought he might have given up in important ones in Cleveland, but now I think it's just how he plays. Overall, he lacks any type of post up game and has to try playing everyone down from outside the 3 point line. IMO, Bosh turned out to be more of a contributor. Regardless, this shows that you have to put in your time to win a championship. Not something that you can team up with your boys and have it in your lap.

Well, when did LeBron ever have the coaching to develop the killer instinct that he really needs to close out games?

He certainly didn't develop it in high school since he was so darned much better than anyone he was playing at the time.....the proverbial man amongst boys. So he'd build a huge lead during the game, sometimes single handedly, only to slack off the fourth quarter and let his "teammates" carry the team to the win.

No college experience, learning or coaching. Probably missed a valuable learning period not attending at least a year or two of college.

Then gets put on a horrible team with not the best coach in the league. Certainly wouldn't be considered in the same Phil Jackson-esque sphere of coaches. LeBron probably needed a hard edged, teaching coach that wouldn't bend to LeBron's will. (Remember, LeBron entered the league already crowned "The King" and the whole Cleveland organization pretty much kowtowed to LeBron's wishes.) But that didn't happen and LeBron tends to fall back on habits already formed---habits that are now so ingrained that they'd be hard to change.

That, and honestly, LeBron is starting to look very tired in the 4th quarters of the finals games. He essentially carried Cleveland by himself for what....7 years ?.....and despite his young age, he's played a LOT! already.

And did you see LeBron at the press conference after last night's game? He already looks very tired, beaten and about ready to pack it in.

Maybe next year will be the Magic's year. Team will have a year of cohesion behind them......don't see any other team matching up next year like Dallas is this year.

Go back and look up some of his earlier career playoff games. Particularly the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals against Detroit. He scored something like the last 30 points for Cleveland one of those games. He *CAN* dominate a game.

This might be talked about already, but I just heard on espn 103.3 a replay of when Wade and LBJ were mocking dirk being sick after game 4.

Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Looks like Karma came back and bit Wade the ass with his "hip injury".

Did you actually mean:

1) "Maybe next year will be the Heat's year"
2) "Maybe next year will be the magic year"

Yeah, sue me. I really rarely watch BBall.....more of a football fan myself.

And yes, I meant the Heat, not Magic. My bad. 😉

But I'll wager the Heat win Game 6, LeBron shows up and plays great. Game 7, on the other hand, will be another LeBron disappearing trick....LeBron's only done well in this series after two days of rest, which he'll have in Game 6. Game 7, with one day's rest, and LeBron will wilt in the 4th quarter again.
