Ray Allen 2%? yeah they obviously don't know shit. My guess is they asked all of the Lakers + 10 other random players (2 from each other team listed) Logic tells me if I'm in the NBA and think Kobe's the best clutch player, why the fuck would I want him to take the last shot? I'd have voted for a choke artist like Devin George, Dirk or James.

You don't think the question implied 'if they were on your team'?

And I would say Ray Allen if he got an open corner three or is at the line, but not 1-on-1 with a guy draped on him. The results make sense if the guy has to create his own shot.

SI NBA Player Poll of who do you want taking the last shot.

WHO DO YOU WANT SHOOTING WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE?

Kobe Bryant, Lakers G 74%

Kevin Durant, Thunder F 8%

Dwyane Wade, Heat G 3%

Ray Allen, Celtics G 2%

Dirk Nowitzki, Mavericks F 2%

Based on 166 NBA players who responded to SI's survey

Guess those players don't know anything!

LoL!

That list is cool, and was obviously made by a Kobe hater so I find it weird there are games he lost for his team they left off. It's weird how a ball hog who is a good shooter can win a game once in awhile and get this reputation as this clutch playing god. Only reason he wins more games when they're on the line is he takes 3x the shots anyone else in the NBA does. % wise he's not even worth mentioning. Now Nick Van Exel was a legit clutch player.

Statistically Kobe isn't that great at game winning shots. He's about average in the pack for big name players. Carmelo has had a higher percentage of game winning shots than Kobe has but Kobe has been in bigger games than everyone on that list and he's a Laker which are the Yankees of basketball so everything you do is going to get more press than anyone else on other teams even if it's not a big deal.

Now that I've had time to think about it I just can't see Miami winning over one game.
I'm going with mavs in 5. This is Dallas' year. Mavs are just a better basketball team. No holes at any position and the best bench in basketball. Miami is in for a rude awakening. I wouldn't be surprised to see a blowout tonight in the mavs favor.

Seeing Lebron get a ring would make me happy.
He has been the best overall player in the league for the last few years and had a crap team dragging him down.

All of the sports radio guys have been talking about how championship teams always had 2 or more superstars. I believe that now.
Lebron was good enough to take his team to the championship but was outdone by star studded San Antonio.
There is only so much a single star can do in a TEAM sport.

I hope the Heat win the next 3 championships.
The players run the game. Not the owners, the refs, the NBA or the fans.

I'd rather see Dirk and Kidd win. Those two deserve it more than James does.

I'll have what you're having. 🙂

I'll go with mavs in 6, and admit it's a homer pick.

In 5+ years of regularly broadcasting HD content, why can't ABC ever fix their stupid blurring problem? It's annoying as hell to still see that in this day and age.

Lebron stands up with the ball and isn't called for traveling. He even travels in his commercials. Guy literally built his career on traveling.
