Forgot to add... I'll be in California starting next Wednesday through Monday. I'll report back more on this later. I read the Markman claim construction midnight last night. They had to make a public redacted version so it didn't hit pacer until yesterday.

The ITC Staff (that the Judge most of the time will follow, and this time did) sided with Rambus on virtually all the terms. I can't wait for this trial to happen (if it does). DRAM controller market and the royalty implications are huge and go side-by-side with DRAM. This fall is going to be busy busy busy.

What are you guys referring to?

I think he's referring to RMBS and the nvidia thing. I bought it for nvidia and hynix bond posting/possibility of settlement.

Is now a good time to pick up january options? (maybe like 20, 22.5, 25 spread) Or should I wait?

Excuse my ignorance - what does that mean? :)

I hope tthat "nao" = now. Because that's what I just did... bought some Jan calls of RMBS. I picked them up at 17.5, 22.5, and 25, spread so that there's roughly twice as much in the center as there is on the edges.

The near term options will be more volatile, so in the event the stocks moves in the direction you predicted youll make more quickly with the july than the january. But i think the long term prognosis for rmbs is favorable so the farther out options will have more time for the stock to rise. That said Ive got both august and january calls in hand.

What calls in Jan are you holding? I just picked up 17.5, 22.5, and 25 and I'm debating getting a handful of 30.

Jan isn't risk-free either. If the courts delay too long or don't result favorably, we could all be losers. Granted that seems unlikely, but you never know.

What software and indicator/s do you guys use to manage your portfolio?

I recently went from fundamental into the technical trading and I'm enjoying Qtstalker. I'm not known to be a gambler or a high risk taker, but my banks are offering me easy credits that is tempting my gambling blood.

AZ is saying to buy July calls based upon some likely favorable news next week, the january calls are for hopefully favorable news from the court case that should end in November. January gives you a bit of a cushion for the inevitable delays, I hope its enough.

Ive got mostly 22.50 for january.

I'm having a hard time resisting the urge to go super-bandwagon and just hit boatloads of jan calls. Like I can afford to buy more than I did, but I have to keep telling myself it's unwise to put most of my money into rmbs.

This is worth watching ....

Basically a year in the life of the financial markets. It talks about the freezing credit markets and Lehman but focuses mainly on the BAC/MER deal and why things happened, how the gov't forced the hand of 9 financial institutions and why BAC did not invoke the Material Adverse Change clause (gov't hinting that they would not make life easy for BAC).

I was referring to DNDN, currently up $1.67.
