Yes, they make sponges, but it is different in design. Their sponges have solutions baked in and are disposable; they first started with car sponges that have wax and soap baked in, then onto pets. They started making sponges for children (Spongebob sponges) and expanding onto medical sponges. I can see them making sponges for other fields as well.
That's just one angle, here's their income and revenues for the last three years:
2007 - Revenue .06 Mil, Net Income -.082 Mil
2008 - Revenue 5.21 Mil, Net Income 1.24 Mil
2009 - Revenue 13.16 (Q1), Net Income 1.51 Mil (Q1) With projected Q2 revenues approaching 50Mil and Net Income of 10 Mil.
They have recently advertise into more mainstream media mediums, and have signed contract with Costco to sell their products. Their products aren't on the shelves of most popular chain stores yet. You do the math.
They're earnings rate so far mimics a high growth company, and earnings look impressive so far - just look out for signs of flat-lining though if the plan to integrate their products into mainstream, high traffic shopping avenues don't work. It's still a very small company.

RMBS is up 3.3% in after hours. Is this because of the news of a possible settlement with the EU?

That is exactly what is happening. I need to read the fine print to see what the settlement entails. I'm hoping EU throws the white flag because of the FTC fell flat on their face, but we'll have to see. Maybe Rambus gets some "verbal slack", but nothing else. Here's hoping...
Isn't it funny though how we were talking about Rambus being no news this summer until the September AT trial, and THEN I write about the EU just yesterday and pop, here is the news. Uncanny!
Please don't steal my oracle from me!!!!!!![]()

How the hell do you even find out about these companies? It's OTC/Pink Sheets, right?

Thx guys...I'm not a day trader or stock expert but here's my story. So it all started with this one stock "MMTE" which I bought @ $0.0006. I think I found the damn thing in a magazine or in an email! LOL
After that I started to look into OTC/Pink Sheets stock and came across a bunch of sub penny stocks that moved large volumes. I figure, let me put $100 into each one and see if it takes off.
I've been following SPNG for quite some time now. When I saw it go from $0.01 to $0.03 and a bunch of news came out, I had to jump on it. Granted $4k is a lot of money but it was a risk I was willing to take.
For anyone wanting a piece of penny stocks, take a look at MGLG. The sad part is my ass only put in $250 into MGLG at $0.0004. Look at what it did today. I'm fvcking dumb for putting in $250 but I figure I would rather throw $4k at a company that makes money (SPNG) than one that's unknown (MGLG). With oil prices going up, MGLG is going to prosper (hopefully).
Note: I play the market for "fun," but I do have a 401k account and IRA account. I don't advise anyone to follow what I'm doing or have done! I just got lucky ...
What I hold now:
SKNY (7000 shares @ $0.21 - I was in when the stock hit $0.50)
SNRS (1.4 million shares @ $0.0001 - is up to $0.0002)
MGLG (625000 shares @ $0.0004 - now up to $0.0017)
SPNG (133,333 shares @ $0.03 - now up to $0.24)
SYNJ (50,000 shares @ $0.004 - i should've gotten in @ $0.0008 but didnt)
Thinking of adding more to my MGLG position and possibly picking up GLCC (walmart of china).

Doesn't look like any of those stocks are real companies with real earnings except for SPNG...

I like the author, NukeJohn. I've known him since 1999 back when we were both sharing ideas and information over at the Motley Fool investment site (www.fool.com). However, he is probably one of the most optimistic people regarding his stocks that I have ever seen. He has the facts right most of the time, just unrealistic time and price expectations.
How'd you come across Seeking Alpha, JS80?
In other news, I bought a bit into a bunch of commodities today. Also bought some more shares of SNT.
