I can't see Curry staying in GS. I bet they drafted him to trade to the Suns.

And Jordan Hill for the Knicks? Mikki Moore 2.0

We should probably throw in or have updates with trades that change the draft at least stuff from today.

Lakers now have more money to pay odom and ariza. Sold 29th pick to the Knicks for 3 million.

Carter goes to the Magic for Rafer Alston, Lee and Battie.

woah!

WOAH!!!

Damn shit, that puts them back up there for contention.

Lebron must be thinking wtf, I get Shaq, Howard gets Carter.

Danny Ferry better pull something out of his ass.

Meanwhile, my Lakers need to do something with this Ariza/Odom situation. Fuck shit fuck.

I have to think Hedo will not be back with the Magic now that they have Carter. If I were a Magic fan, not sure I would be happy with having Carter over Hedo considering the other things he does for them.

KT

Why wouldn't he come back? Carter is a playmaker while Hedo is a pure shooter. They are totally different and complement each other. This also takes pressure off of Howard to score since we all know he isn't a scorer.

Well, let's picture the starting 5:

Howard
Lewis
Turkoglu
Carter
Nelson

Enough shots to go around? Howard complained often this season that he didn't get the ball enough. Adding Carter AND keeping Turkoglu certainly won't help that.

When he has a shooting cast like that around him, it's going to be raining 3's even more for the Magic. Magic live and die by the 3 and they need those great 3 shooters to win. Howard just isn't a huge offensive threat as he could be. With how horrbile he did in the Finals, they wanted someone who can score.

Lulz, Hansbrough at 13...great white hype...

I've seen him in person, he looks like a dork.

8 PG's selected in top 20. They weren't kidding about it being a PG draft

I would put him as Austin Crochere at best.

He is going to get dunked on so hard in the NBA. He has no upper body strength. It's a good thing he extended the range on his jump shot.

That's the best part. I hope he'll succeed.

Refs in the NBA aren't going to call a bailout foul everytime he gets the ball

Just got home and checked it out.

Bulls pick two forwards; they must be close to a deal with Gordon.

There was a lot of talk about them packaging their two picks to move up; I have a hunch they were targeting Hansbrough all along and his stock just went too high..

Magic have already stated that they are very willing to go over the luxury tax to keep Hedo - I expect him to see him in a Magic jersey next season.

Howard is only 24 years old. Every year he's gotten better and you can bet that next year won't be an exception. That's not to mention that this is the first year in 2 years that Dwight hasn't had a summer obligation. I hope he does little more than practice a 10' - 12' jumper over the summer until he can do it in his sleep. That shot would open up so much for him. btw, Dwight didn't complain that he wasn't getting the ball enough. His complaint was that they didn't go to him enough during some critical times in the playoffs. He was right. There were many times when the Magic were jacking up prayer 3's while Dwight was wide open underneath.

Don't know how I feel about Carter coming to the team. Great player, no doubt, and a local boy. But he's T-Mac's cousin and shares some of those genes, unfortunately. They may have to expand the Magic lockerroom to accommodate all the egos. It's a shame the Magic gave up Courtney Lee in the process. He's got a promising future ahead of him. Also, I can't see Turkoglu staying with the Magic. They can't afford his asking price (@ 10 mil/yr). If he wants a ring though he might want to think about taking less money. That starting 5 you mentioned is a scary lineup for most teams in the NBA to face.

If the Lakers keep their team intact, and the Celtics come back healthy, they are still the two best teams in the league. Even with all these huge changes to the Magic, to the Cavs, and the Spurs, Lakers and Celtics still can't be touched.

Celtics most likely are going to trade Rondo.

rofl. When they asked why they got rid of Vince, a fan in the back yelled "CUZ HE SUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKS". I lol'ed so hard. 😀

In regards to the Mavs - oh god, yet another great draft. Trading away a "decent" center for yet another PG. Ugh...pathetic

I have to laugh - Blair, a projected lottery pick, fell to #37 for the Spurs. That's ridiculous! 6'7" tall with a 7'2" wingspan, that is one hell of a built guy at 277 lbs. His standing reach is 8'6"! Even with a 24" vertical, that could develop into some great weakside defense next to Duncan.

Damn, its really shitty to be a suns fan right now :brokenheart:

How is that different from the last year?

Because last year there was a glimmer of hope. The suns might have made it to the playoffs had it not been for STAT getting injured....and lets not forget they would of been seed #5 if they were in the eastern conference.

JRUE HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!
He's such a smart guy on and off court, I think it was a great pick

We needed someone who can actually play defense, especially after we got Kapono
We also needed a point guard (Andre Miller will probably leave in the near future...possibly even before next season starts) and Lou Williams... while he is a great 6 man, I don't see him starting (well) any time soon.

Jrue was made to play SG under Collison as PG his freshmen year, so his numbers were not that great, so he doesn't seem that good in the books, but that fact + the intangibles will (I hope pray and think) make it amazing

Now we just need to sign someone to help ease the transition to the NBA for Jrue... Bibby maybe?? !! YES PLEASE... 2 year contract is all we need
Dionte Christmas also wasn't drafted... we could get him and he could replace Lou, but maybe I'm just biased though because he is from Philly
