Devils are back, baby! I'm really hoping they win the division so they won't have to face the Capitals until the conference finals if at all.

Back? They've owned the pens all year. I seem to recall losses to the islanders and oilers the last couple games. I wouldn't get too excited yet...

Just reading the comments on tsn... seems like it was a pretty vicious headshot.

Hawks just lost Campbell.... wow........ Seabrook would be a tremendous loss for them at this point in the season...

Yeah that's pretty brutal hit. I hope he's ok........ eventhough he will make a match up with the Canucks even harder if we meet in the playoffs

I guess you have to hope that, because it doesn't look like the Penguins will get past them.

For some reason the Devils have struggled against the Hurricanes for years. I'm glad they're out of the playoffs. They've struggled against the Flyers this year as well, so I'm kind of hoping the Flyers move up to 6th or the Devils drop to 3rd (as much as I like to see the Devils knock the Flyers out of the playoffs).

I've been a Caps fan since the early Bondra days and I've never felt so excited yet pessimistic at the same time. I hope Theo can bring us deep because it's basically up to how well he does. Caps can't score 6 goals a game in the playoffs... and Varlamov ain't ready.

BTW, Ovechkin was jobbed again. Fvcking Matt Cooke and Craig Adams, that's all I have to say.

but... there were no penalties on those plays... which is a complete joke but rules are rules. that's why they need to be able to review hits regardless of penalty calls or the absence thereof...

Campbell is out for the season... he had a ridiculous ironman streak going...

Ovy shouldn't have shoved him... dumb play even though he didn't intend to injure. when you play like a rhino on crack, these things are bound to happen... but they shouldn't go unpunished.

The Flyers are a good team, but I really don't think they can beat us in the playoffs now that we have Kovalchuk, Martin, and Clarkson healthy and they have Bobby Bouchet in net.

I heard the chanting, wasn't sure what they were chanting.

Apparently Stan Fischler got a good jab in at the post-game press conference that I missed:

Next 5 games for the Penguins should be much more difficult than the next 5 games for the Devils. Hopefully the Devils are able to take advantage of that to extend their lead.

They tried as hard as they could to avoid winning... so many great opportunities shot wide. Danis made a crazy stick save on one of the opportunities that wasn't shot wide. He managed to hold them off for 65 minutes, but couldn't make a save in the shootout. You can't blame the goaltender for losing a game when he only gives up one goal, that's on the skaters who didn't score.

Flyers snuck into the #5 seed with the 3-2 win over Dallas. I shudder to think that this team will go as far as Boucher will take them, but after letting up a soft goal, Boosh looked a lot more like he did in 2000.
