Now that the Cup is won, let the trades and draft begin for the 09-10 season. First question is, who will the Senators get for Danny Heatley now that he's asked to be traded?

I hope this trade happens before the draft so we can pry Frolov, Jackson and the 5th draft choice from the Kings. Maybe Dustin Brown too, Why not? 😀

Didn't waste much time? Penguins aren't even done celebrating and we got this thread 😛

I don't know what to hope for. I don't know what can really be done with/for the sharks.

Curious to see what Wilson does during the draft/summer.

Go Sharks Go! Here's to another season filled with mediocrity and another early playoff exit!

How about Patrick Marleau and Milan Michalek for Dany Heatly straight up? 😉

Just a bit over 30h before the draft. Can't wait to see what we (Senators) get in return for Danny Heatley and who we choose.

ahahahaha, the flyers replaced Marty Biron with Ray Emery??? Big upgrade there, LOL.

Oh, GO PENS! Hopefully they manage to re-sign scuds and get a stud winger. I'm all for dumping any of gill, boucher, sykora, satan, fedontanko, kunitz, or guerrin to get it done.

Word out of Heatley's camp is that Detroit is one of the potential suitors. ??? Where the fuck would they get the money? Hossa?

No way, no how, makes way to much money to fit in under the salary cap

Even if we do offload Hossa I don't think we won't take him.

I'm just happy we didn't offer Chelios a new contract this year 😀
we have to many skilled D who when can play in his place.

I wouldn't mind seeing the pens take another run at hossa (for less money than we offered him last year of course).

I would stay away from heatley though. He has a habit of ruining locker rooms.

They don't have to unload Hossa, he's a free agent, he'd be the highest paid player on the team, and that's laughable at best since he's quit on 2 teams now, why take the chance? I think he is a great goal scorer, but with his current contract, it will not happen.

/Are they allowed to redo their contracts to take a pay cut?

Oooo... Minnesota just made a nice offer for Heater and L.A. countered it. Bidding war's on. 😀

Methinks the trade will happen tonight. 😎

Caps in search of a 2nd line center now that Fedorov signed with the KHL (to play with his brother). Trades-a-comin.

Hossa news + more

Salary cap of 56.8 Million.
Still no Hossa deal; he can start talking with other teams on Wednesday.
Ty Conklin is being tossed... Jimmy Howard is our new backup.
Samuelsson, Hudler, and Leino all depend on whether or not Hossa signs...
