They're both there for different uses. Maroney is a lot better runner & Faulk gives you a reliable pass blocker/dump off/screen back that gets nice YAC

Maroney is a good back but NE can't run the ball when it is needed. Another finesse passing team gets dominated come playoff time, never saw that coming lol.....

Yet, he was the leading rusher in the playoffs.

edit - for someone that knows everything about football, you sound so much like a troll. Those Steelers did great in the playoffs.

What I didn't get was this...

Your team is in need of a TD, you have 2:42 seconds on the clock, you have 1st and goal. And what did you do? The first freaking play was a TD PASS.

I know I'm not an expert on football or anything, but I'd at least RUN my first play, just so I can burn the clock down a bit. Unless I'm not too confident in my abilities...

I think at that point in the game you go for the TD no matter what play it is on. It may have been a run play originally and then Brady saw something and changed the play at the line. Who knows. Bottom line, if you see an opp. for a TD, you take it. Whether its 1st down or 4th down. You cannot chance running down the clock and then relying on a 3rd or 4th down score esp. the way the Gmen defense played all game.

Anyone watching Letterman tonight? They are showing a play when Eli was about to get sacked but got out a threw that nice pass. Wow. Major holding by the Giants.

I dont think anyone has seen that play or any replays of it.

Here's what I think.
There is holding on pretty much every play in the NFL.
The difference is if the officials see it or not.
Of course it's not legal, but it happens on every single play.
The officials didn't see it.
Great play by Eli and Tyree.

Great play by Eli and Tyree.

The officials were too busy thikning what eveyrone else in America was thinking:

1. How did Eli get out of that?
2. How the F did Tyree catch that???

By the time they remembered to throw the yellow flag for holding, Plaxico already had a TD

It will be ok, just keep running to mommy's bosom to dry those tears. I gave Maroney credit as a good back, but the truth remains that NE could not run the ball when it was needed. Their finesse passing offense was shut down in the SB and they could not run the ball to score.

Steelers were picked to finish third in their own division. It was great seeing Big Ben lead them on the largest 4th quarter comeback in NFL history, a shame the defense couldn't hold the lead. Considering the amount of injuries and the quality of players missing they did great. They did much better than anyone expected, but nice attempt at taking a shot troll boi.

At least Steelers fans can hold their heads up high knowing their team won 5 super bowls without cheating. Might have won another, be interesting to see what info comes about during the Senate investigation of the Patsies. Taped the Rams last walkthrough before the super bowl, wonder what else Walsh has to offer.

The Pats were picked to win the SB and choked more fantastically than William Hung.

As for the holding non calls I saw NE get away with it all year long. You tend to hold more when the other team is getting pressure on your QB. Which team do you think got away with more holds in the SB? There probably could have been 20+ calls on NE for holding. Sadly even their cheating tactics couldn't stop the Giants from kicking their asses and showing how good Brady is when he faces the same type of pressure Big Ben did all season.

The Pats couldn't run the ball when it was needed. That's what happens to one dimensional teams, they get dominated by superior, balanced, opponents.

The Downfall of the Patriots Dynasty

For the fan bois, here is a petition you can sign maybe your good buddy Goodell will step in and fix this disaster:

A request for the NFL to investigate the final 1:40 of Super Bowl XLII

Interesting actions taken by Patsy fan bois all over the web. After a season filled with them flooding every other teams boards and spamming their moronic BS they have gone underground after the loss. Many have created new forums/pages that are invite only rather than face the music. They must be emulating their head coach, run and hide FTL.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Pats will have the easiest schedule in the league next year, opponents will have a combined wining % of @ .375. Brace yourselves for more BS from the bandwagon.

Keep trying to convince yourself it is hate, I guess it somehow makes you feel better. Pats and their fans are the biggest joke in the football world, I LOVE IT. They are all the same, and that includes yourself Red Yawn.

Paul, or any NE fanboi, couldn't wear the jock of a Steeler fan. He is made of sequined silk, we are made of steel.
