The fans did it to themselves all season. On this very message board. All season long.

So now you get to deal with it for a year. It's your payback and you deserve every bit of it. Karma is a bitch ya know.

The Giant fans are fine. It's the Pats Haters who have been gloating. And they can since the Pats sucked arse sunday night.

Though, if Samuel or Merriweather could catch a ball, they would have had an INT in that final drive and Eli would be a goat instead of a hero. But it didn't happen.

Lastly, we don't need another thread. Should have just posted in the Super Bowl thread.

Underdog wins will always get more stories then "oh look, the pats won... again". The fact that the Giants got 5 sacks through the 'impenetrable' Pat O-line is amazing. Thanks to this we know that BOTH Manning brothers are good and that there shouldn't be anymore tension this Thanksgiving 😉. There's a bunch of little things that make this bigger than if the pats one again.

Eh, when the Pats win another Super Bowl this last one will just be a footnote. The Giants played an amazing game, well their defense did and they should be congratulated for it. To be the best they had to beat the best and that's exactly what they did.

Just think for a moment if Eli hadn't squirmed away or if his pass was not luckily caught on a players helmet.
Right now we would be talking about the Brady drive to win the game and debating if the Pats were the greatest ever.
Squeeking by on a couple of lucky, improbable plays doesn't make the Giants any better or the Pats any worse.
And I think the Giants are going to regret their childish gloating.
Bellichek is gonna have 6 months to plan utter destruction.

And if it weren't for a little bit of luck, the Patriots' "perfect" season would have ended well before it was anything worth talking about. But it didn't, and we all got to hear the Patriots fans gloat all season, and then it ended, so you get to hear everyone else gloat for a while.

You can thank guys like PaulNEPats.

hahahaha. bitter much?

this defeat solidified the patriots NOT coming close to the best team in NFL history or brady being the best quarterback in NFL history.

i love how you create a topic purporting to quell the back and forth yet clearly post something inflammatory.

It's amazing what a group of sore losers Patsy fans seem to be. "Waaaaahhhh! My team should have won, your team sucks even though they beat our asses for 60 minutes! If ( insert player name hear) could fly he would've made the interception! Waaaahhh!!"

I'm tired of this whining. I heard a Cowgirl fan moaning about all the Giants jerseys and hats he saw people wearing on Monday. asshole, you live in New Jersey 10 minutes from freakin' Giants stadium! WTF do you expect?! Moron.

To the OP: Shut up, Mary. Take a Midol.

And if when Manning scrambled out of the pocket on another occasion, he hadn't overthrown the wide open receiver would would have raced down the sideline for a touchdown, the Patriots would have lost by more.

And if.. and if... We could play this game all day.

Look at the stats other than just the final score. Pats got their butts kicked. They're lucky it was so close.

The New England Patriots videotaped St. Louis's last practice before upsetting the Rams in the Super Bowl after the 2001 season, the Boston Herald reported.

HMMmmmmm you read that yet?

As much as I hate the Patriots (I REALLY wanted the Rams to win that game), I think that this:
U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, a Pennsylvania Republican, yesterday said he plans to summon Goodell before Congress to explain why the league destroyed tapes showing the Patriots stealing defensive signals from other teams.

is a ridiculous abuse of the court system. It's a GAME!

Oh, and I just wanted to remind everyone about how the Patriots LOST THE SUPERBOWL.

And yes, the NFL has already commented on that issue. They investigated the rumor months ago and found no evidence.

Actually, the game was pretty even. Either team could have won it. The Giants made the plays on that final drive and the Pats didn't.

No, we're not done yet.

The Giants won what is arguably one of the greatest upsets in Superbowl history. Don't expect the talk about the game to die away in a day or two. And if so many Pats fans hadn't been complete tools leading up to the game, maybe there wouldn't be such gloating by Giants fans and all the non-Giants fans who were just happy to see the Pats lose.

Hell, the 5th seed NFC team won three road games to end up beating the 18-0 AFC team (who some considered, and still consider, to be one of the greatest teams in NFL history). It is the greatest upset in Super bowl history.
