Hey, if anyone recorded the game and is willing to send me a DVD copy of it, I'll PayPal ya a few bucks. PM me. Thanks! 🙂

I heard someone say the NFL network is going to rebroadcast the Super Bowl this week.
Can anyone confirm?

Why are we even discussing this? The Patriots failed to win it all. The Dolphins won it all. There is no comparison between the two teams.

you've gotta finish the chorus...

:music:
cry me a river all you haters
it doesn't change the facts
the truth is when the seasons done
you'll all kneel to the pats
:music:

Only if you don't have to play Denver, 1-5 lately. And the one win was with Danny Kannel as the Denver QB.
Don't forget 0-11 against Elway. So basically 1-16 since 1984.

Not only that but 'The Broncos won the first-ever American Football League game over the Boston Patriots, 13-10, on September 9, 1960'

It's a long history starting with the very first game. Kneel to the Pats my ass 😀

the pats aren't 18-0. they are 18-1. simple math tells you that 17-0 is better than 18-1. to put it another way: i guarantee brady & company are going to remember their 3 superbowl seasons - where they did not win 18 games - in a far better light than this year.

<---- Pats fan

Unfortunately for them, their great season will ALWAYS be followed up with a comment about the big loss at the end.

You can't say 18-1 is better than 17-0 because had the Dolphins had the extra games, they could have won.

With the Patriots defeat at the Superbowl, their chances at a perfect season came crashing to the ground.
now that's some insight right there. ever consider a career in sports broadcasting? 😛

Even though I am a Giants fan since early 90's, I wouldn't have minded to see the Pats win. Pity though.

18 and NO.

If you're going to count games like that then by your logic lets look at it this way, Patriots is 18-0, the Dolphins won 17-0 plus whatever games they won the next season. I don't have the stats but if they won 3 games straight the next season you could say they'd be 20-0.

Every year one team gets a Superbowl victory. Only one team went 18-0. Which is the rarer event?

Two other teams went 15-1 in the regular season and won the Super Bowl for a final record of 18-1. I think that's a more significant accomplishment than the Patriots' 18-1, because they won the Super Bowl.

This from a Boston Globe article:

"We had a great season, we just didn't win the game," said Brady, who appeared less then 100 percent healthy, but would not make excuses regarding injury. "Tonight doesn't take away from anything we have done over the course of the season. It's just unfortunate that tonight turned out the way it did."

The heck? Did he appear hurt to anyone? He seemed to be 100% healthy to me.

Tom Brady is a saint - if he doesn't play well, he must not be healthy. I'll bet it was that naggy shoulder injury that has kept him on the injury list for the last 3 years or so.

He needs to be a new orleans saint imo.

You are only as good as the last game of your season. If you win all regular season games and lose a playoff or championship game, it was meaningless.

If you have a 50/50 record going into a playoffs and run the table and win a championship then the regular season was meaningless.

The '07 -'08 Patriots won't be remembered for going 18 wins. They'll be remembered for losing the Super Bowl.

I will say going 17-0 back then was an awful lot easier than going 17-0 now, let alone 19-0. Look at some of the games the Dolphins won that season, many were against absolutely TERRIBLE teams.

Plus, I find the 72 Dolphins players to be incredibly annoying at this point, especially Mercury Morris. It was 36 years ago, get over yourself.
