Pats had a great season. They were outplayed by the Giants tonight. The Giants won 11 straight games on the road. I think the Pats kind of just expected to win without going and getting it.

Awesome game by the Giants, they outplayed, outcoached, outclassed the Pats. A physical, balanced team dominated a finesse passing team, shocker. History was not repeated tonight it was made, brothers earning back to back super bowl MVP awards.

Well Montana didn't look that great once he left the 49ers & went to the Chiefs (no more Rice, Brent Jones, Roger Craig, John Taylor) and Steve Young didn't look that great with the Bucs before he went to the 49ers. So you can't really remove Montana & Young from the system argument.

The fuck you're talking about, Montana had great games while QB'ing the Chiefs.

2144 yards passing, 13 TD, 7 INT, 87.4 QB Rating & 3283 yards passing, 16 TD, 9 INT, 83.6 QB Rating in his 2 years compared to the #'s he put with the 49ers?

How can you draw that conclusion, based on numbers from Montana's twilight years . And he still played dam good, evan as an old man. Still had the Montana magic.

It might've been his twilight years but Brett Favre put up very good #'s at the same age this season. I was just responding to the Brady is a "system qb". So let's say you put Montana on the Falcons instead of the 49ers & Bill Walsh West Coast System, how does Montana career go? It's speculation but I would say not nearly as good. The system can help you out tremendously, as well as the supporting cast. I'm just saying these things in defense of those who think Brady is simply a system QB. I think Montana is the greatest QB of all time, he was in the right place at the right time and Brady is getting into the conversation.

actually, the better analogy would be to say, let's put montana on the raiders with Davis' Vertical game instead of Walsh's system. yes, he would have washed out.

Let me tell you, if you wanted Pats fans to suffer you got your wish. Losing the SB is bad enough but losinjg it to a NYC team is insufferable. But they outplayed the Pats fair and square. No bad calls by the Refs, they just beat them.

To tell you the truth this was not that enjoyable of a season for me. So much on the line for every fucking game really wore me down. I'm so glad this season is over. I wish we would have won, in fact this is the first time a home team of mine ever lost the SB. Now that it's over it's not so bad but while it was happening it was excrusiating:laugh:

This is just like when the Pats beat the Rams for their first SB title. Way to go Giants, I hope your team stays on top and they meet the Pats again in another SB. Two storied Franchises deserve another go or two at it:thumbsup:
