We need strong proactive leaders. What we have are reactionary weak leaders that strike more fear into the market than calm it. People have lost total confidence in the current leaders and nothing they do will change that now.

So, who bought BRK-B for $3200 today?

Why are the leaders talking about the markets? The markets will take care of themselves. Their job is the economy.

Shutting down the markets would be the worst thing they could do.
Its going to cause utter panic if they do.

Its on cnbc now, they are considering it :(

so with the market down so far is it fairly safe to put some into EFTs? Especially if its money that wasn't in the market when it took the down turn?

Whats a good place to put the money in with? I was looking at the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index.

Paulson is going to give a speech at 6:45PM eastern time.
I suspect it will be more 'nothing is wrong, we have a solution"

I was going to sell my trading positions if we got any kind of bounce this afternoon but now I'm going to hold. No one wants to hold over the weekend and everyone will probably head for the exit the last hour. I'm probably being stubborn and foolish but I'm going against the herd and not exit. I will hold. God help me.

I don't want to jinx but don't call it a comeback. Redemption hour is coming up the final 30 minutes of trading. If we can rally and hold during redemption hour, that's huge.

*prays to trading god*

f^ck, I don't want to hear cheering on the trading floor. That just made me less bullish.
