It's like they had a pact to short WFC, I was looking at the puts, turn my head and then BAM it's gone below $30... remind me to set a trigger next time...

Looks like the hedge fund game is to short the hell out of everything. Lots of forced selling going on right now as margins are getting called.

Are we going to trigger circuit breakers before this is all over?

My brain says to go all in but my hand isn't complying. Hedgefunds just threw up a big chunk of nasty.

I'm so fvcking glad I paid off my mortgage early this year. If I hadn't, I might be on the streets before this is all over.

Unless we enter hyperinflation (not-likely, but still a chance), having a mortgage might actually be a great hedge.

Wouldnt having a mortgage be a great thing in hyperinflation? Get to pay off your home with worthless dollars.

Yes, if you think that a company you have stock in isn't going to recover soon or not at all.
GE doesn't worry me.

god damn it took a long time to get back to pre-crash levels

Since the pre-crash levels were incredibly overinflated...yeah. But when the numbers are that low, it's an absolute vs percent thing. The downward movement in just the past 2 weeks eclipses the entire value of the DJIA in 1930.
