The shot selection argument in game 2 is such bullshit.

Look at the charts:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/...chart?gameId=280608002

LA smoked Boston for shots in the paint the first and second quarter. LA took one less in the third and then about the same amount as Boston in the 4th.

Less aggressive in the paint my ass.

Except you're forgetting to include all of the fouls and free-throws attempts created by pounding the paint. Yes, LA was very much less aggressive inside.

Huh?

Did you even look at the shot chart? LA SMOKED Boston on in the paint shot attempts in the first half and they had 2 free throws to like 15 for Boston.

You do know that missed FG attempts that cause a foul do not count as FG attempts? If they did, you would have seen on those charts a much larger number of Boston FG atempts compared to LA in the paint.

And one could make the same argument that a missed attempt that does show up is because a foul wasn't called.

😕 Sure and if you add the number of times Boston was fouled in the paint and went to the free throw line, those added FG attempts would have smoked LA. Your argument just makes LA look more pathetic in the paint.

Learn the rules please...

allen should have had the ball at the end of that game, not pierce.

I was wondering why Allen wasn't taking more shots at the end of the game. Thing is Boston is very TEAM oriented, they believe in uBuntu etc. So I don't think they were thinking "oh lets give it to pierce, he's our goto guy". It probably just was the most appropriate play at the time.

Kobe whines more than Lebron

True, but LeBron whines even though he's given the most blatant treatment ever - he'll travel from the three point line and not get caught on it. There's no way he'll ever come close to MJ or many of the other greats.

You must be some psychic. A kid at 23 years old with plenty of upside will never be a great.

What upside? He's the poster boy of the league so he can travel as much as he likes? There are many other upcoming players who are much bettter than him, e.g. CP3 and dwight howard. I'm not denying he's going to be a hall of famer, because he will be, but he isn't the second coming of MJ as many people say he is. He's a hog who doesn't know how to play team ball and win. He can't play D, can't improve his teammates. Look he even had ben wallace on his team this year and they still sucked.

Do you know anything about basketball?

So tell me how he was a team player

Besides averaging over 7 assists a game and being one of the best finishers in the league?

Assists don't reflect on how good a teamplayer somebody is. CP3 and Nash they set up their teammates for easy buckets. I'm sure lebron mostly passed to somebody when he was being double teamed and that guy took a shot and got it in. +1 Assist for LBJ.

and big surprise, they were all by luke walton and pau gasol, players who tried to avoid contact. You get contact by driving straight to teh hole and initiating the contact.

uh what? LeBron is an incredibly gifted passer and facilitator for the offense.

Yeh and he carried his team to the finals last year without a PG or another teammate that was even close to sniffing the all star break. What else do you want out of the kid? Cleveland has done nothing to help him except acquire 2nd rate role players.

Thank you for proving my point. Learn basketball. First, you bring up they STILL sucked with Ben Wallace, as if Ben Wallace is actually good. LeBron being double team, passing to someone with a wide open shot, and they make it.... that seems like an easy bucket to me. But hey, anything to prove your agenda.

lebron is known for his passing.. he just hasn't had anyone to pass to. he's put less of an emphasis over time, but i remember that was one of his huge selling points when he first came in the league.

How? Are you going to blog the players' reactions like Curt Schilling?

I was actually able to score the same seats to every playoff game so far... I bought them upfront from a season ticket holder before the playoffs started.... unreal seats but i'm not near the players unfortunately
