Ottawa did not have their game legs in the third period probably due to the long interval between series.

Ottawa didn't play too badly in the third, in my opinion. Anaheim just played that much better.

I think I'd give the odds in this series as being 55 Anaheim/ 45 Ottawa.

I hate being a pessimist here, but after seeing this game, i'd say the Sens are in huge trouble.

I pretty much believe the first game is the what wins this series...i hope i am wrong...

They will make adjustments. Look on the bright side, we played badly and still got beaten only by one goal with two minutes left. If we play our game, we can beat them.

good game. ducks need to learn to stay out of the penalty box, i figured they learned their lesson from the detroit series, but i guess not.

was a fun first game, should be a long series, i hope the rest of the games are as exciting.

... and once again doubt starts to enter the mind and souls of sens fans across the country...

😀

I have returned. I had to take some time off after the Wings were eliminated.. 😀

Anaheim is going to be very tough on Ottawa 5-on-5. The Ducks pretty much dominated that game and if they can keep the penalties to a minimum they should win this series.

I wasn't sure who I was rooting for until I watched the game last night. I found myself rooting for the Ducks because I don't want a Canadian team to win the Cup. 😀

Very poor game by the Sens, but sadly, i think they're trying hard.

Unless they can pull off a miracle in the last four minutes, series is over.

Series is over.

Congrats on the Cup, Duckies, & good run, Ottawa, though you sure choked at the end.

two pretty good games to watch. it will be interesting to see how ottawa plays in game 3. they started off well both games, but the third periods they seem not able to turn it up.

anyways, keep it up DUCKS!

Bah! 😛

One period at a time!

Far from over. Ducks have to win 4 games, not 2.
Sens couldn't get through the neutral zone in a cloaked Klingon warbird tonight though! 😛

Oh well, looks like my hometown guy and wife's 2nd cousin will win the cup (Dustin Penner). Though I've been cheering for the Sens, that would be OK too.

Die :frown:

The Ducks are only marginally less Canadian than the Sens...
They actually have 19 Canadians on their roster. The Sens have 12. So... marginally more 😛

Man I can't believe you guys giving Anaheim the Cup already! They won their home games. *shrug* We still have a series here boys!

Unless Ottawa's play magically improves leaps & bounds, this is over.

Being down 2-0 isn't the issue. The issue is that in the last two games, the Ducks have outplayed the Sens in basically every aspect of the game.
Defense, offense, neutral zone, corners, speed, goaltending, i'd say see even PKing.

The way the Sens appear against the Ducks, i'd say we'll be lucky not to get swept.

Not too long ago, another Canadian team or two was vastly outplayed - even nonexistent in a few games in the Cup series. They both went 7...

You're new to this Stanley Cup thing, aintcha?

Nope.

I really hope i'm wrong, but i suppose we'll see.

Sens are in the middle of a classic ottawa chokefest. Not to say they can't come back and win, but the way they are playing it doesn't seem likely. This series is playing out much like the Buffalo v. Ottawa series.

Ottawa is being outshot 63-36, their top line is giving the puck away like socialized medicine, and they are getting the sh!t beat out of them by a vastly superior defense.

Ottawa takes one at home, then loses two in a row. Or the worst could happen and they could complete the ultimate choke and get swept. 😀

I hope ottawa can make a series of it. They certainly can come back, they were close in the first two games. Ducks only won them by one goal each, third period goals. So I think ottawa is capable of taking their 2 home games here.

Of course Giguiere could also play great and they could finish the sweep.

I just stuffed myself with some great chili I made this afternoon 😀 ugh

I wonder if this is the second last game we will see this year :Q 😛
