😀

Well at least you have a nice looking ticket

Yeah, they are really nice. I actually have tickets to what would be game 7 if it got there too. 🙂

Luckily I have tickets to the other three rounds too. I will be at games 1, 2 and 5 here in Atlanta of the first round.

I would NEVER be able to get tickets this good (or at all) to Red Wings playoff games. 🙂

I think the west is more balanced, yet somehow the east looks more compelling.

I kinda hope Ottawa and Buffalo meet at some point in the east 😀

Also, Go sharks go!

sweet

I knew you would dig it. I have two tickets and if they go unused (highly likely) I will send you one if you want. 😀
I'm sure I have some sweet Thrashers cards that I could send you. Actually, I picked up a pretty sweet Hossa jersey patch featuring the third jersey (blue).

buffalo over the isle in 3 🙂

:Q what........ they going to beat the Isle with 3 out of 7 games :Q: confused; 😉

Cheers,
Aquaman

Obviously the Islanders will feel so hopeless that they'll forfeit the final game to avoid the embarrassment. 😛

Remeber what happened with the Oilers last year... Plus they got Ted Nolan behind the bench. Anything could happen in the playoffs. Though, I will still give the edge to Buffalo, in 6!

Oh I get it ............ they will get to the finals in 3 straight years and not win (cough bills cough) 😉

Cheers,

Hey now, if you're going cross sport boundaries to diss on Buffalo, at least get it right. It was 4 straight years. Since you're Canadian I'll let ya slide on one. 😀

My quick picks.

Buffalo vs NY Islanders - I'd like to say Sabres in 4, but Satan will show up for 10 mins in the series to score a couple and yashin gets lucky.

New Jersey vs Tampa Bay - Tampa rolls it's 100 point pair until they puke, brad richards has to step up, brodeur is a brick wall, tampa tires and makes mistakes, devils chip away and win. Or brodeur gets lit up like an xmas tree (highly unlikely)

Atlanta vs NY Rangers - Youth fire vs experience?

Ottawa vs Pittsburgh - Pens have a good PP, but they also get the most chances (nhl wunderkid promotion conspiracy anyone?😉), ottawa/emery chokes pens/fleury is on fire.

Detroit vs Calgary - battle of the goalies, hasek eeks out ahead. Id rather see calgary win.

Anaheim vs Minnesota - Wild's tight D and hot goalie stifle the ducks enough to squeeze it out.

Vancouver vs Dallas - I hate the stars, forever. Turco chokes, Luongo shines.

Nashville vs San Jose - Preds are healthier than last year, franchise goalie back but top scorer out. Sharks dont impress.

Hockey playoffs are by far the best of any sport.

BUFover NYI - This series isn't even close. Isles are lucky to be in the playoffs.
NJDover TB - Brodeur and NJ defense will shine as usual.
NYR over ATL - This will be a shootout. Lots of offense, close series.
PIT over OTT - Pens have the advantage in scoring and goaltending, Sens fall short.

CGY over DET - These teams split the regular season series, it'll closer than most think.
ANA over MIN - The Ducks are mightier than ever, despite the logo change.
VAN over DAL - Vancouver has more scoring depth, better goaltending, more determination.
SNJ over NAS - Really hate to see these two meet up in the first round as both could go deep into the playoffs. San Jose will win the West provided their goaltending holds up.

Nice. That would match my Hossa third jersey and bobblehead. 😀

I'll take:

Buffalo in a walk
New Jersey in 6
NYR in 7 with at least two OT games
OTT in 6

DET in 5 (god I hope I'm wrong)
Anaheim in 5
Vancouver in 6
San Jose in 6 and Thornton leads scoring after round 1

Awesome, lots of predictions

Will be fun to see how far off we all are, or close! :Q

Hey n7... at least we still get to watch Smytty in the playoffs this year 🙂

I think he will be more of a factor than people are giving him credit for... he turns it up in the post season!

The west is so much harder to call. I really could see each series going either way. Not a sucker in the bunch.

Lets Go Preds, it's payback time for last years early exit!

Blackstone Brewery here in town is serving shark sandwiches all week long 🙂.

Oh yes indeed 😀

But Buffalo's my team in the East, so i kinda have to cheer against him 😛

Anyway, i love playoffs time...always extremely entertaining 😀

watching planet earth only reaffirmed that sharks are king.
as long as they are fighting seals, but I'm sure it holds true elsewhere.

 Here's to the greatest sports playoffs in the world 🙂

No team I care about in it, but they really have to cut these things shorter. Baseball is only a few weeks in playoffs and maintains the excitement. Hockey, once your team's out and it's only round 1 of the finals a month later, you start going wtf...
