Shouldn't this be called the official '05 tax refund thread? Since that is the tax year that the refund comes from.

$200 total between state and fed. I just can't figure out why anyone would take a smaller paycheck and take the refund later. Money now is always worth more than money later.

My dad worked for the IRS for 30+ years so I had him do my taxes. Can't remember what federal was, but state & federal combined was about $815

AMT came up and bit me in the ass, big time.

Oh well, it was nothing I didn't expect, but I was hoping for a miracle.
