Hey,

Has anyone noticed if maybe the older model of this is rebranded at radioshack as Presidian. Presidian Dual-Format DVD Recorder. In case this helps anybody. No signs of divx or mpeg4, but still dual and cheapo. $80 after rebate.

This is still around. I used a 15 off 75 today and got it for 89.99-15 or 75. Last one in Northern Delaware. No rebates as far as I can see.

I didn't notice that you had to submit that rebates within 14 days, and I hadn't done so, so I took it back got my money back today. (Technically, you're not supposed to be able to return electronics after 14 days either, but I told them my brother had a birthday yesterday and wanted one with S-Video in instead of this one. They took it back.)

I loved the divx playback, but I have decided I would like one with S-Video inputs so I can transfer from my old analog camcorder to DVD.

Can anyone recommend a low-cost DVD recorder with decent reviews that both plays divx and has S-Video inputs?
