I found it on page 4, below "D-Link Wireless" section.
Here is the link to the corresponding page of OM specials in Central NJ:

Due to Officemax.com cookie issues, better to link directly to the advertisement image.

Corrected link

Must be regional. That page doesn't show up in the Wisconsin ad I viewed. But from that picture I can't tell if it says USB 1.1 compliant or USB 2 compliant.

Ah well.

there is also the hp deskjet 5850 for $99 AR. i have it; it is a decent inkjet printer. the selling point is that it is ethernet ready and wireless ready. i set it up in 15 minutes without any cables other than the power cable. wireless printing works great and quality is good. print servers run at least $50, so this is a cheap networkable alternative for the kids maybe.

Is this a decent DVD recorder?
MicroAdvantage are rebadged BTC drives. use the VISA $10 off $75 in-store OM coupon to get it for $29.99.
BTY: In some areas it's selling for $49.99 instead of $39.99, so ask the store to PM the web site price of $39.99.

So would that make this a good recorder? i personally have never heard of BTC. Where is this drive made? and how compatible will it be with recording media...lets say Memorex brand +RW?

I think Memorex's are rebadged similar quality drives. I have a 1004IM in an external enclosure, it's really not remarkable in any way (positive or negative)...JUST UPDATE THE FIRMWARE IMMEDIATELY. I have an NEC 2500A that's a bit better, but I paid a bit more for it ($85+shipping vs. $37.50AR)

The DVD on sale in my area is a Khypermedia for $49.99, not the Microadvantage.

Based on my experience with CD-R drives, I would prefer Khypermedia brand, actually...

Just a heads up about the 5850. If you wanna get the printer through a B&M source, Staples has it for $99 out the door. There is also a $50 rebate available if you purchased the 5850 and certain D-Link, Netgear or Belkin accessories between July 15th and September 15th, 2004 (the purchase of the printer and the wireless accessory doesn't need to be on the same receipt).

The Microadvantage drive is available online for $90 before $50 rebate. And is reported to be a BTC 1008IM. The Khypermedia is likely to be a Cyperdrive, and possibly a BenQ.

The Kypermedia is a BenQ if made in malaysia and Cyberdrive if made in China. Look as the side of the box.

PS: I think the BenQ is better but that is my humble opinion.
