I can hear this guy from 15 feet away (and through 2 cubicle walls). It sounds like a freakin cat drinking milk.
 
my one roomie last year was like that. ugh chewing with your mouth open is one of my pet peeves, that annoying smacking sound is not what I want to hear. unless it's me smacking the offender for chewing like a bloody cow.
 
I broke up with a 1 year g/f over her slurping soup on day. It just pushed me over the edge. We reconciled to be friends after it which was a mistake on my end because we never stopped sleeping together and she somehow thought we went back to b/f & g/f.
 
I always end up next to this guy in my calc class during tests that must have post nasal drip or something. He's always quasi-snoring and like smacking his lips, it distracts me SO FREAKIN MUCH.
 
I hear you. I HATE that my office is right near the kitchen. I can hear people from a similar distance and around two corners chewing in the kitchen, and then they chew in the hall on their way back to their offices. Fortunately I have a door and walls that go all the way to the ceiling, so I can shut out the noise. 😛

I just thought of this thread. Another PSA:
When using a college computer lab, don't use chewing tobacco.

At least, I think that's what it is.
Some guy near me in the computer lab keeps spitting into a cup about once a minute.
The urge to splash it into his face is now ever-present.

Talking loudly on cellphones (even in the library computer lab), or chewing gum loudly....I think even Mr. Rogers would resort to some form of corporal punishment.

"Ok boys and girls, meet our new neighbor, Mr. Baseball Bat. If you all don't shut up and show some manners, Mr. Baseball Bat will teach you about basic physics, by transferring some momentum into your kneecaps."
