The Office Max here in Monroe, LA is closing.
They have stuff from 10-40% off.
I picked up Turbotax deluxe for $26 and it has a $10 MIR.
They also had WinME for 40% off.
I didn't look around much.
Don't know if it is just a local thing or if they are closing other stores. It's only been here about 2 years.

Anyway just an fyi.

SemperFi or Semper_Fi was the name I was thinking too when I've signed up with anandtech.But what a pitty this name wasn't available becouse of you guys!!!
 
Well, well, well...I finally meet some of my bargain hunting competition in Monroe! 😀 Yeah I heard that they dropped prices today a little more but dont look for the real deals for about three more weeks.

Jarhead, didn't see much else. They are probably trying to get rid of as much as they can for as much as possible. Robzila hit the nail on the head.
In a couple of three weeks the prices should drop some more if they don't ship all out to other stores.

Actually when I signed up I tried to use the _ and that was taken so this was my second choice. It has worked out handily as I use it on several other boards too.

Marsl, marines in conversation don't say Semper Fidelis they say Semper Fi. It just sounds less sophistocated. 😀 Did you ever see that book called "Semper Fi Mac"?

I just checked at the miamisburg oh office max on the quantity of 200 CDR's going on sale Sunday, I only saw about 2 dozen. That might last an hour. I talked to csr about the HP burner going on now. She said they had ten in stock and sold out 15 minutes after opening.
 
OfficeMax doesn't own the inventory in the closed stores anymore....so that merchandise won't be shipped anywhere....the liquidators are going to sell everything, even the store fixtures!
 
Hey Louisianians! Well the closing OfficeMax in New Orleans (Kenner, actually) has a pretty crap inventory left. All the computer accessories are already gone...damn people bought everything @ 5% off last week. Can you believe that? I'm going back Saturday for my weekly checkup. I still have an inventory tag from a Yamaha Lightspeed 16x CDR that I'm hanging onto until stuff hits >40% off. 🙂 We'll see if that sucker's still around then. :Q
