I bought one yesterday at B&M. The girl at the checkout was intrigued and was considering buying one too. Then she says, "The $40 rebate scares me. They are always screwing up my rebates." All I could think of was this is great. Office Max's own employee is worried about rebates. I bought it anyway. OM got sued by the the State of Michigan Attorney General a few years ago for rebate troubles so I can always play that card if they give me problems. Good Luck.

Zero luck needed . . . it's advertised in their flyer . . . IF you complete the rebate EXACTLY you should have NO problem with the rebate. OM rebates are reliable!

Picked one up (there were a half dozen left at the store I went to) and submitted the rebate online. Very painless & efficient-almost as good as Staples Easyrebates system.
A quick semi-related question-any suggestions for scanning software? I'm primarily going to scan documents (not photos) and would like the ability to specify the directory and filename, which the software that came with this scanner doesn't seem to support.
