im happy to see that the price of the WD 80gig 7200RPM HD is still $200 :)...i was expecting them to jack up the price due to the $80 mfr MIR

i goto school in NYC...its a pain...no OM, no BB...i have a CC, RS and Staples around the corner from school (Cooper Union)...the closest BB is on Long Island...so it microcenter and OM...i think there may be some of these stores in Pavonia Newport...a short little trip on the PATH...

What's with you two? =P

There are two Best Buy's in Queens and one in Staten Island. For the two in Queens just get on the G, R, or V trains and get off at either Northen Blvd or Grand Ave.
For the one in Staten Island its right next to the SI Mall

As for Office Max, there's one in Atlantic Center in Brooklyn (Pacific St / Atlantic Ave), one in Staten Island, and one right near the Best Buy at the Northen Blvd stop.

Yea yea i know, its in Queens, but no pain no gain.

im SORRY...i dont live in NYC...i live outside philly...and im more accustomed to wide open malls...
i just recall one in Long Island...im sorry i FORGOT about the ones in queens...i remember doing a BB store locator, and only recalled seeing one in LI...IM SORRY...im a philly boy...or well a philly suburbs boy...

There is a BB, Circuit city, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, PC Richards,WIZ AND 6th Ave Electronics all on Rte 46 within 10 mn of each other in Totowa are of NJ. It's about 25mn outside of the Licoln Tunnel. Rte 3 West to Rte 46 west and you can shop till u drop. Need a car tho and if u live in city, may not have one.

hmmmm..in OM, i don't see that exact same model ....closest version is $99 with $20 rebate...

Also the $25 off $100 that i know of( for new customers) expired on the 6th....

Is there a newer coupon ?

AFAIK the Cendyne is a rebadge Lite-On...at least, that's usually been the case with Cendyne, Digital Research and Hi-Val...

Is it really necessary to be such an asshole? There are no OM stores in Manhattan, nor Best Buy. BB did actually just announce that they would open a Manhattan store in the coming year.

There is a relatively new BB in Elmhurst, Queens (where Macy's used to be, for those familiar with the area) that you can take the subway to get to. Not sure about OM in Queens, however.

there's an OM in Queens if you take the Van Wyck south and continue with it when it turns into Rockaway turnpike. Right before the Dunkin Donuts at the corner make a right and there it is.
As far as Cendyne goes, I bought one from them a 6 x 4 x 40 a year and a half ago. The drive never worked right and the customer service was never in-they always wanted you to leave a message and call you back later amd they called back at crazy times.
This taxcut deal with the #)$ rebate sounds pretty good though. I wonder if its worth taking another chance for it.
Where can I get the rebate form for the cendyne??

can somebody scan the microcenter ad or something? or somewhere to verify the price on the WD80GB HD? that deal would be ridiculous, but there are no microcenter's near me, and I need good proof for OM :| thx in advance

but my damn SCANNER wont WORK...

im using a visioneer 6100B...i have the drivers installed, but i DONT have the scanning software...

just go at cnet or zdnet and download a freeware scanning program

ok i got a program

now i figured out the driver isnt PROPERLY installed
and the driver files are in an EXE that i CANT OPEN with winrar...im guessing the IMsetup.inf is in there...

need help...
