I got the same thing Silverthorne- then I called OfficeMax rebate center and talked finally with the right guy and he straightened it out- you should do the same. All the info is correct. Thank god I scanned in all my UPCs/ Receipts/ stuff before sending it in, as I always do now, since I thought I might have a hard time getting a $39 120gb external hd... but I got it!!

That happened to me on the 19.99 WD 80gb HD deal. Postcard said the UPC was not correct. Finally talked to a person at their call center(that is a task in itself) and asked him what was wrong with it cause I was about to send him the same info back to him. He asked if I had the UPC number in front of me and what the number was. I told him and he said all was well.

To all those non believers, ALWAYS scan your info for rebates.

ESPECIALLY with OfficeMax rebates. They have gotten bad. Usually a call will straighten it out though; I think they just randomly reject people hoping they'll go away.

Well I called the rebate center and got the run around saying that I never sent in the upc, which I stapled to the rebate form and then after being on hold was told that it was valid. Talk about a bunch of crooks.

Yes I did, that's why my rebate was valid and they are sending me the $30.
